Thank you for supporting the Fleming House

To the editor: On Saturday, March 7 the Fleming House of Family Recovery Center in Lisbon hosted a spaghetti dinner fundraiser. The event was to assist in raising funds to benefit the women and children who reside in the housing units. Overall, the fundraiser was extremely successful, not only because of the funds raised, but the amount of community involvement and support was quite heart-warming. To the editor:  Imagine the bitter disappointment Mike Bloomberg must now be experiencing after his dismal performance in the Super Tuesday primaries. Except for the American Samoa caucus, he did not see a single first-place outcome. During his brief campaign, this Democrat spent enough to buy everybody in the USA a lunch. Did you get one? Government-controlled health systems not the solution

To the editor: As the 2020 election season ramps up, health care has been front and center. While some presidential candidates argue over whether "Medicare for All" or "the public option" is the better proposal, in reality, either of these government-controlled systems would be detrimental to Ohioans, especially those of us who live in rural communities. BDC executive director offers response

To the editor: The Business Development of the Northern Panhandle, BDC, has worked with county, state and federal officials to secure over $1 million in grant funding to environmentally clean up the TS&T property in Chester which had been neglected and abandoned for nearly 30 years. Without this effort by the BDC and our partners, the TS&T site would still be an economic and environmental detriment to the city of Chester. To the editor: We would like to thank, God for His protection over us and also to local business, family, churches, friends, neighbors, first responders, and community members for all of your donations, kind words and prayers.
