A rebuttal: Everyone wins with defeat of traffic cameras

To the editor: Recently a former city auditor voiced an opinion on how the only people who win after the defeat of the traffic cameras are speeders. As an American, and as one who was an elected official, you should be ashamed of yourself. Absolutely no one that fought to end the cameras condoned speeding, and we are all in agreement that speeding can and does increase fatalities due to traffic related accidents. Speeders are winners with defeat of traffic camera issue

To the editor: The voters in East Liverpool have done their city a grievous act. When the traffic camera issue was defeated, only the abusers of speed laws were the winners. These are people with an inability to control themselves within the laws that have been set up to protect the public. Of course, breaking laws generally has a monetary cost attached to it and that is likely the real issue. These offenders are unwilling to pay for choices they have made. Responds to comments regarding Christmas tree

To the editor: I am responding to the comments that was on The Review’s website concerning the decorating of the city's Christmas tree in the Diamond area and complained on how horrible it looked. My name is Paula Vaughn and I am vice president of The Beacon Association here in East Liverpool. Thanks to our mail carriers

To the editor: I, like many of us, sometimes forget the obvious things we take for granted and on this note I am referring to our US Postal mail carriers. We take for granted that approximately the same time most days we open our mail boxes to retrieve our utility bills, Christmas cards and sometimes packages not thinking about how they arrived at our houses. I would simply like to "thank" the postal workers that brave the elements (rain, snow, brutally hot or cold weather) to deliver our mail.
