1941-2026 Richard Leroy Markham Sr., 85, of Columbiana, passed away at the Hospice House in Poland, Ohio on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. He was born on Jan. 21, 1941, in Stockton, New York, the son of the late Laverne and Blanche Markham. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Patsy Stoepler. Richard was a thoroughbred owner and trainer for 55 years, racing in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York and West Virginia.
