Columbiana County Sheriff
Deputies were called to the Butler Mobile Home Park, U.S. Route 62, Butler Township, in regard to someone threatening to harm himself at 12:03 a.m. Saturday. They spoke with the person, who gave no indication any such thing was being contemplated. The person said he had called his social worker because he was feeling down about some family matters but never said anything about harming himself.
Craig Catlett of Paris reported his pickup truck was stolen on Friday and posted it on Facebook. On Saturday, he received a message saying his truck had been seen on Bayard Road in West Township several times. Catlett and some friends decided to take a look for themselves and saw the truck on Bayard Road and gave chase. They forced the driver to stop just north of the Bayard Methodist Church, and the driver fled on foot into the woods, while the passenger – later identified as Donald Bennett of Paris – remained in the truck. Bennett said David Boord had just picked him up and that Boord told him the truck belonged to his brother. Boord reportedly lives with his mother in Robertsville.
A woman who lives on East Liverpool Road, Madison Township, called at 8:52 p.m. Friday because her daughter was off her medication and had thrown her couch into the front yard. The daughter was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
Robert Boord, Stephen Drive, Minerva, reported at 1:11 a.m. Sunday his ex-daughter-in law had called and was threatening to kill his family. Boord said she does this from time to time ever since she divorced his son 10 years ago. Deputies spoke with Felicia Boord, who said Mr. Boord is the one who calls her. The deputy then advised her to cease all contact with Mr. Boord. “Well, he needs to stop calling me and you need to stop calling me,” Ms. Boord replied and then hung up.

Christy Alfaro, Dunn Road, East Liverpool, reported a domestic dispute at 5:56 p.m. Tuesday. Deputies arrived at the home of Vicki and Rodney Gilchrist. Alfara, their daughter, was there with her children. Vicki Gilchrist said the grandchildren started fighting. Alfaro and Rodney Gilchrist were trying to break it up Vicki Gilchrist tripped on a rug in front of the stove. She was complaining of back pain and was transported by North Star EMS to East Liverpool City Hospital.
Don Hurd, Trinity Church Road, Lisbon, reported at 8:58 a.m. Thursday sometime overnight someone removed two LED lights and a shepherd’s hook from the end of his driveway. The lights were $25 each and the hook was $12.
April Rawson, no address listed, reported a domestic dispute at a Gavers Road, Hanoverton, home at 10:13 p.m. Thursday. Melinda and Bruce Merryman both said they had been arguing, but there were no signs of violence.
Deputies were called to a disturbance reported at a state Route 154 residence. Gloria Lykens was taken into custody on a warrant for theft and resisting arrest charges. Terry Hughes was arrested on an outstanding child support warrant.
While driving north on Market Street in East Palestine, Deputy Brandon Hoppel spotted a wallet lying in the roadway. It contained no cash or credit cards, only a medical card, business cards and a driver’s license for Robert Walters, Petersburg Unity Road, Petersburg. Hoppel attempted to reach Walters through Springfield Township police, but they were unable to find a number for him. The wallet was left at the East Palestine police station in case someone could contact him.

Jessica Herman of Zarbana Extrusions Office, Esterly Drive, Columbiana, reported at 2:13 p.m. Monday that while she and George Chambers were outside the plant taking a break near the southeast corner of the building, they heard seven or eight gunshots coming from an area to the south. Hersman believed some of the rounds struck the building above their heads. Deputies did not find any bullet holes in the steel siding and were unable to find any signs of anyone shooting in the area.
Mike Nulf, Waterford Road, New Waterford, reported at 2:12 p.m. Monday someone broke the lock off a back door to a portable building he owns in the area of Fairmont and Lusk Lock roads. Five gallons of diesel fuel was taken.
Kathy Lively, Center Avenue, Lisbon, reported at 3:59 p.m. Monday her live-in boyfriend, Frank Lasarella, hit her in the face and shoved her. Lively and her friend Debbie Gray were walking on Center Street when deputies arrived. They claimed Lasarella came home and they started arguing about money he owes Lively, which led to the violence. Lasarella told deputies he went to Municipal Court to start an eviction against Lively. He claimed they argued when he came home, but he denied hitting or pushing her. Lively had no marks and the matter will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office. Lasarella served Lively with a copy of the eviction notice.
While patrolling at the Beaver Local Middle School, deputies saw graffiti spray-painted on the wall near the kitchen and boiler room at 6:08 a.m. Monday. The school is scheduled to be demolished in the near future.
Daniel Jones, Peace Valley Road, Rogers, reported at 10:26 a.m. Monday he works for a pipeline company and does not get home often. At Thanksgiving everything was fine at his home. At Christmas, he found the lock to the back door was damaged and he replaced the locks at that time. He also installed a game camera in his bedroom. He recently returned home and reviewed images from the camera. On Jan. 13 at 8:12 p.m. the camera caught several images of a man in the room and $500 was missing from under his mattress.
Blair Gamble, Canton, asked deputies to check on a couple at a Rochester Road, Kensington, home at 8:17 p.m. Tuesday. Deputies learned the couple had been arguing and the husband had gone over to his son’s house.
Brenda Minamyer, state Route 154, Negley, reported at 3:57 p.m. Tuesday she received a letter from the IRS alerting her someone used her information to file a fraudulent income tax claim.
Peggy Kimes, Main Street, Homeworth, reported at 3:18 p.m. Tuesday her 8-year-old grandson who lives with her is having problems with a neighbor child bullying him, including spitting on him before he came into the house on Tuesday. Deputies went to speak with the other child and his parents. They claimed he was with them the majority of the day and the boy denied ever doing anything to the other boy. Deputies told him to stay away away from the other child to avoid any accusations.
Kathy Blankenship, Mattix Road, Lisbon, reported at 3:17 p.m. Tuesday her 14-year-old granddaughter who lives with her stole her necklace. Deputies suggested Blankenship and her son should consider filing unruly charges through juvenile court.
Joshua McNary, Glasgow Road, Wellsville, reported a 4-year-old girl was found wandering on the roadway. Deputies arrived at McNary’s home, where the child’s mother had just arrived on foot. Heather Yeager told deputies she had been sleeping and the child got out of the house, taking off with the family dog. When she discovered the girl was missing, Yeager walked one way and a neighbor walked the other direction looking for the child. Yeager said she found the dog and it led her to McNary’s house. The child reportedly has learned how to use a chair to reach up and unlock the door, so the mother is planning to add more locks.

Patricia Soos, Lisbon Canfield Road, Leetonia, reported at 5:24 p.m. Friday she left her home to go to the bank around noon with the door unlocked and her sons asleep in bed. When she came home she found three flash drives were missing. The flash drives had been hidden and contained valuable documents.
Zach Moore, Sherman Street, Lisbon, reported at 7:25 p.m. Saturday he has been having a problem with a relative and had some questions for deputies.
Greg Ohler, no address listed, reported a fight on North Shore Drive at 8:46 p.m. Friday. Deputies spoke with Rosemary Nichols and Doug Mackie, who said some family members were over visiting and an argument started with some pushing and shoving. The other family members had left before deputies arrived.
Amanda Litz, Novelty, at 1:26 a.m. Saturday asked deputies to check on her 27-year-old brother on Lynchburg Road, Kensington, because she was concerned about things he was posting to Facebook. Deputies found the brother, Eddie Lucas, living with a family of eight people inside one double-wide trailer. Lucas said he would like to have some space and it was suggested maybe some other living arrangements should be considered.
Bill Wilson, Bandy Road, Homeworth, reported at 9:03 p.m. Sunday a GMC truck has been coming onto his property and tearing it up. He caught photos of the vehicle on his trail cams. Deputies traced the vehicle to Colton Bush, Georgetown Road, who was warned against going onto the property again.
A neighbor of the Damascus Friends Church reported at 4:34 a.m. Friday two suspicious men were looking inside the windows at the church. Deputies found employees of Mahoning County Sanitary Department, who said they were clearing the sewers in the area due to the large amount of rain.
While checking the parking lot of Cope’s Farm Equipment, U.S. Route 62, Alliance, at 5:01 a.m. Friday, a vehicle was found that was not recognized. Deputies also found an open door in the repair garage and checked the inside of the business, setting off the alarm. Then Robert Cope arrived and verified the suspicious vehicle belonged to an employee.
Chippewa, Pa., Police reported at 3:45 p.m. Sunday a Lisbon area woman allegedly shoplifted a large dollar amount of items from the Chippewa Walmart and drove away in a Green Saturn. Deputies went to the woman’s home, but neither she nor her vehicle were there.
Dave Conrad, Lowmiller Road, Minerva, reported at 2:59 a.m. Sunday their son and his girlfriend came to visit from out of town and there was a party with drinking. The son’s girlfriend began assuming the son wanted to see other women. She became verbally abusive and out of control. Deputies spoke to Sana Siddiqui, the girlfriend, for a while until she calmed down.
Robin Hole, Main Street, Minerva, reported at 1:21 a.m. Sunday he was sitting in his chair near a window when he heard a crash. At first he thought it was a gunshot, but then he discovered an arrow had crashed through two panes of glass before stopping short of hitting him.
Katie Martin, U.S. Route 30, Minerva, reported loud music at 10:40 p.m. Saturday. Deputies found no music playing, just many people around speaking in low tones and having a gathering in memory of someone who recently died.
Bob Powell, Bye Road, East Palestine, reported at 10:14 p.m. Saturday a possibly intoxicated woman was walking on the road while wearing black. Deputies did not locate her.
The Stark County Crisis Center alerted deputies a Rogers man had threatened to harm himself at 3:02 a.m. Sunday. Deputies met with the man and his mother. He asked for help and was transported to East Liverpool City Hospital, by Negley Fire Ambulance for an evaluation. The man told deputies ELCH put him on medication before, which helped him, and then the Stark County Crisis Center changed it to something that did not work for him.

Deputies were called to a domestic dispute on Winona Road, Salem, at 11:26 p.m. Thursday, the third such call. Witnesses said the man and his 12-year-old daughter had been arguing but no threats or assaults occurred.
Jamie Neville reported there was suspicious activity in the Rogers area at 10 p.m. Thursday. Deputies checked but did not find anyone around.
Ted Facciolo of Hubbard reported having problems with the tenant at his rental property on Eagleton Road in Salem Township at 6:27 p.m. Thursday. The tenant showed deputies an eviction notice that gave the tenant until June 21 to move out and Facciolo was advised of this.

Deputies were called to an 18th Street Heights, Wellsville, home for a possible overdose at 4:48 p.m. Tuesday. Tri-County Ambulance and Highlandtown first responders were there and an IV was already started in Chris Hermy’s arm. He was moving and came to shortly after deputies arrived. He at first balked at the idea of going to the emergency room, but then agreed to be taken to East Liverpool City Hospital.
Patrick Davis, Carbon Hill Road, East Palestine, reported at 9:02 a.m. Wednesday a Stihl 310 model chainsaw valued at $500 was stolen from his shed either Sunday or Monday. He put a $300 reward on Facebook and received a call from another man, Aaron from Millrock Auto, who said he just purchased a saw like it from a man he knows for $100. Davis asked for charges to be pursued against the man who stole his saw and sold it. Deputies will collect statements.
Christina Minger, state Route 14, East Palestine, reported at 1:43 p.m. Wednesday she had been living with her ex-husband, Jason Minger, but he moved out six months ago after he was charged with domestic violence. He moved in with Christina Minger’s grandmother down the street. Last week the charges were reduced and the no contact order dropped. Christina Minger said he has been coming there, causing drama, coming into the home while she is sleeping and put a lock on the garage door to keep her out. Deputies spoke to Jason Minger, who said Judge Mark Frost told him he could return to the home, but everytime he goes there the people there are cursing him and causing problems. He wanted assistance retrieving his belongings, but deputies declined to go, telling him its a civil issue and if he wants them out he needs to evict her, her new boyfriend and anyone else living there.

William Jones, Brushville Road, East Palestine, reported Tuesday he received a letter on May 8 from the IRS claiming they needed more information to process his return. Jones learned from the IRS someone already filed a return using his name, address, date of birth and social security.
Matthew Foster, Justison Road, East Palestine, reported at 11:09 p.m. Monday he bought a Samsung Note 2 through eBay and has been using it for about two weeks. When he got it there was a pornographic photo on it, which he deleted when he saw it. Later a porn site popped up asking him if he wanted to download something. When he declined the phone snapped a photo of him and a screen came up claiming to be from the FBI, showing his photo, all of his contacts and claiming there were more pornographic photos on the phone. The message claimed he will be fined and how to pay the fine. Deputies talked to someone at the FBI, who said they have received numerous phone calls about this scam. Foster was told not to pay the fine and take the phone to his carrier to have it cleaned for viruses.
Kimberly Stokes, Charleton Drive, Lisbon, reported at 8:50 p.m. Tuesday someone was fishing on the dam on East Lake Road and his dogs were running loose. The dogs confronted her dog, who was on a leash, and she yelled to the man, but he did nothing to restrain his dogs. Deputies explained leash laws to the man.
Andrea Mislosky, Woodland Avenue, Columbiana, met deputies at Theron’s after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Mislosky said her boyfriend, Jerry Mathes threw her out during an argument. Deputies took her back to the house, where Mathes had most of her belongings already out on the front porch. They agreed to work together toward her moving out. She called a friend to pick her up and Mathes agreed to load the items up and deliver them to her friend’s house.
Martin Solomon, Lisbon Dungannon Road, Lisbon, reported at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday his nephew came from Florida a couple months ago, homeless and still refusing to get a job. Solomon told him he will no longer help him and the nephew started texting threats toward him.

An employee of AT&T reported at noon Monday someone cut and removed about 200 feet of 600-pair cable along Sprucevale Road in Middleton Township. The missing cable is near the address of 11693 Sprucevale Road.
A woman on Lisbon Road, Lisbon, reported at 2:49 a.m. Sunday she was seeing people around her property. Her stories were getting more radical, then her father came from next door and explained to deputies the woman’s medications make her hallucinate.
Oliver Ward, Darlington Road, Negley, reported at 5:46 a.m. Sunday that two people were pounding on the door of the neighbor’s residence at 51615 Darlington Road shouting threats. Robert Castellucci advised that he allowed two people who were recently released from jail to live with him and they have been taking advantage of him. He asked them to leave, but they refused. Castellucci was advised to evict the subjects, who were not present when officers arrived, and in the event of further threats or violence to call again. The officers searched the area for the two men, but were unable to locate them.
Firefighters from Hanover Township located Joe Balnites, who was intoxicated and disoriented at 12:37 a.m. Monday. Balnites stated he had gone for a walk and lost track of where he was. He was picked up near Clewell’s Landing and returned to his friends who were unaware of his whereabouts.
Laura Ferenczy, Knox School Road, Beloit, requested at 7:16 p.m. Monday that someone check on her neighbor, Robert Kiser, because she had not seen him for many days. Upon the officer’s arrival, Kiser said that he had taken time off from work to go fishing and was fine.

Bill Watkins, Depot Road, Salem, reported a fight at 11:41 p.m. Friday. Deputies spoke to Christina Willis, her boyfriend Watkins and Stacey Jarrett. Jarrett was being evicted and was in the process of moving out. A family member of the owner of the property, Jim Phyllis, came to the house and a house next door yelling and causing a scene. He left before deputies arrived. Deputies checked the area and located the intoxicated Phyllis, who agreed not to do it again.
Jack Kothera, Foxden Drive, Salem, reported at 7:02 a.m. Saturday someone has been defecating and leaving it on his driveway with used tissue paper. Additionally, he said about a year ago his orange cat went missing and he found the cat’s hide thrown into his yard recently. He had buried it, but offered to dig it up. Deputies told him not to do so and suggested he may want to invest in a security system.

A rubbish fire was reported at 2:32 p.m. Friday at the former ABC mining offices at the corner of state Route 154 and Pine Hollow Road. The owner is in the process of tearing the building down and there were several piles of wood and debris around the block building. The Lisbon Fire Department extinguished one of the piles and left, but had to return after the roof of the structure started burning. Firefighters told deputies they suspected children in the area may have been responsible. No children were found at that time, but deputies will keep an eye.
An East Palestine dispatcher reported at 5:10 p.m. Saturday someone called asking for assistance at a home on Church Street, New Waterford, where a woman was attempting to harm herself with a pair of scissors. Deputies took the scissors from the area and she was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown.
Colleen Tomsha, Morris Road, Lisbon, reported at 9:10 p.m. Saturday her granddaughter, Jessica Perkins, had left items stored at her house and she wanted the items out. Perkins reportedly blamed Tomsha for missing items, some clothing and a watch collection. Perkins claimed Tomsha let Perkins’ sister go through the items and take what she wanted. Perkins also claimed Tomsha shoved her and attempted to choke her. Tomsha said there was no assault. Perkins eventually decided not to file charges.
n Venita Tschappatt, Depot Road, Lisbon, reported at 10:37 p.m. Saturday she lived with Steve Chestnut for two weeks, but now Chestnut has a new girlfriend. Chestnut and the girlfriend left the trailer and Tschappatt found she was locked in the bedroom of the trailer. She damaged the door when she broke out.

Thomas Ferguson, state Route 9, Hanoverton, reported at 8:21 p.m. Monday someone stole his Ruger 10/22 rifle. There was no forced entry into the home.
Barbara Welch, Hillcrest Road, Wellsville, reported at 2:41 p.m. Friday she was being harassed by her brother-in-law. Deputies spoke to James Bailey, who agreed to stop talking to her.
Jamie Garland, Depot Road, Salem, reported at 6:38 p.m. Monday someone has made a fake Instagram account to continue to try to follow her daughter.
Danita Marcano, North Yuma Trail, Negley, reported at 6:57 p.m. Monday she has been receiving phone calls from someone she does not know and when she answers the person said “murder.” A deputies attempted to call the number, but was unsuccessful.

Danny Nentwick, state Route 558, Columbiana, reported at 6:57 p.m. Wednesday semi trucks are turning around in his yard causing damage. The trucks cannot make it under the overpass so they are turning around.
Ray Schneider, Cherry Fork Road, Leetonia, reported at 8:13 p.m. Wednesday he was weed-eating on the edge of his property and Tim Hephner, his neighbor, came over yelling for him to get off his property. Schneider claimed Hephner pushed him and his wife had a video of the incident. Deputies spoke to Hephner and his wife, who said Schneider was on the Hephners’ property weed-eating. Hephner claimed Schneider pushed him and attempted to strike him with the weedeater.
Joy Curfman, Speidel Road, Hanoverton, reported at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday she was confronted by a man she did not know at Westville Lake, who told her she did not have permission to ride kayaks on the lake. She later learned the man’s name was Mike Runzo and she was unaware you had to pay to kayak there.
Nicole Boggs, Depot Road, Salem, reported at 9:17 p.m. Wednesday she wanted her ex-husband, James Jones, removed from her property. He reportedly came and wanted to confront her current husband, Robert Boggs. They argued, but there was no violence. Deputies spoke with Jones, who said his ex-wife slapped him and her husband slapped the phone out of his hands. He admitted he showed up at the home without being asked.
April Heck, state Route 517, Columbiana, reported at 9:58 p.m. Wednesday a suspicious man was knocking on doors and asking for a ride. Deputies did not find him.
Hank Joy, Brookfield Avenue, Lisbon, reported at 11:27 p.m. Wednesday a suspicious man was spotted walking off his porch. Joy’s neighbor texted him to say she did not hear anyone knocking on the door and she knew he was not at home. Nothing was found damaged and the home was secure.
Kevin Nelder, Parkview Drive, Hanoverton, reported at 10:12 p.m. Wednesday his stepson, Michael Skiles, threatened him with a knife. Skiles was charged with aggravated menacing and taken to the county jail.
Danielle Bowers, Walnut Street, Rogers, reported at 3:18 p.m. Wednesday she was watching her 7-year-old niece and the child was not listening, getting angry and going to her grandmother’s next door. When Bowers went there to get the child, the child kicked her on the leg. She went to smack the child on the butt, but she moved and she hit her upper thigh instead. The child then went to another neighbor and told her Bowers hit her. The neighbors all started threatening Bowers about abusing the child again. Bowers gave a statement and deputies are taking statements from neighbors.
John Brown, Chester, W.Va., reported at 4 p.m. Thursday that while parked at Pondi’s in Lisbon someone struck the back of his truck causing damage to the tailgate.
Sandy Myers, state Route 45, Lisbon, reported at 11 p.m. Thursday that she left her home for a motel and was gone from 2:15 p.m. to about 5 p.m. and when she returned home she noticed her cat trying to get out a window pane in the back door and found the glass missing. She then noticed cash missing from a drawer in her office.
Cindy Lyon, state Route 7, Lisbon, reported at 8 p.m. Thursday she was having problems with neighbors regarding a property line.
Deputies were called to 5769 state Route 7, New Waterford, at 9:25 p.m. Thursday for a report of two suspicious people in the basement of the home. The deputies found no one there.

Kristen Kalis of XL Sand and Gravel, Jackman Road, Negley, reported at 10:50 a.m. Monday they are concerned about a 30-acre lake on the property they still have under permit to mine in Middleton Township. A small portion of the lake is on Mark Neely’s property and people are reportedly launching a large boat from Neely’s property and utilizing the entire lake. She was concerned about potential issues with the permit and liability issues. Deputies requested an opinion from the Assistant Prosecutor John Gamble, who said he would get back to them.
Victoria Stafford, Lowmiller Road, Minerva, reported at 4:07 p.m. Wednesday someone stole her mailbox and post.
Jennifer Brown, Crestview Road, Columbiana, reported at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday, Larry Watt was released from the jail that day and was now constantly driving past her residence. Deputies looked for him, but did not find him.
Anthony Gorby, Edward Circle, Columbiana, reported at 4:54 p.m. Wednesday two men, one black and one Asian, were attempting to enter people’s homes by claiming they would clean their carpets for free. Deputies checked the area, but did not find anyone matching the described men or black SUV.
Janice Miller, Metz Road, New Waterford, reported at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday a neighbor was shooting in an unsafe manner. Deputies spoke to Mike Miller, who said he was shooting a shotgun into a tree on his property toward the neighbor’s woods. It was explained to him that is not safe and he agreed to stop shooting without a proper back stop. Deputies then went to the home of his father, Ronald Miller, next door and took him into custody on a warrant for allegedly violating a protection order. He was taken to the county jail.

Dave Ruddick, East Liverpool Road, East Liverpool, reported at 10:04 a.m. Sunday someone took his ATV sometime overnight. It was parked along the house under a roof on the backside of the house. It was a yellow 1998 Honda 450 Foreman Electric Shift with black wheels and tires with racks on both the front and back. Ruddick still has the key.
Carole Ratkovich, Justison Road, East Palestine, reported at 4:56 p.m. Tuesday someone entered her pole barn and took numerous items – a Lincoln AC/DC welder, Stihl chainsaw, Craftsman 2500-watt generator, gas can, box of tools, radio and some copper wire.

n John Yuricek, Hillcrest Road, Lisbon, reported at 6:20 p.m. Sunday someone was shooting unsafely on Hanna Drive. Deputies found Todd Dangel of state Route 172 shooting safely with a proper backstop.
n April Nail, England Drive, East Palestine, reported at 6:02 p.m. Sunday she reported on March 16 her license plates from a 2001 Suzuki were stolen, although when deputies checked the report, it did not say the plates were stolen. Her ex-boyfriend, Josh Andrews, took the Suzuki when they separated in March. When she went to court on May 26, she learned the vehicle is still in her name.
Vanessa Crowe, Apples Way Drive, Leetonia, reported at 2:52 p.m. Sunday her boyfriend, Douglas Raffle, assaulted her while they were at a campsite on Steubenville Pike earlier. Raffle was charged with assault.
Josh Graybeal, Speidel Road, East Rochester, reported at 7:34 p.m. Sunday he received an email from Ruralking.com alerting him of a $174 purchase made with a Mastercard. He believed it may be another Josh Graybeal and the email was incorrectly entered, but he wanted to file a report in case he later determined someone was using his information.
Sean Hoff, state Route 46, New Waterford, reported at 12:43 p.m. Saturday his father has been becoming very angry with them threatening to come over to their house or threatening to file charges for stealing his push mower. Hoff said he bought the mower at a garage sale. Deputies spoke to the father, Monte Hoff, who said the mower is his and he has a receipt for it. While asking him questions Monte Hoff became angry and hung up on deputies.
Patrick Doran, Justison Road, East Palestine, reported at 11:31 a.m. Saturday he found his barn lock broken on Thursday. Now he has found multiple expensive hand tools are gone.
Cindy Melott, Highland Avenue, Rogers, reported at 11:57 a.m. Saturday she is missing a 40-caliber Smith and Wesson handgun, which was taken from a file cabinet in her bedroom. She believes her son may have sold the gun in Youngstown for drugs.
James Steiner, Heck Road, New Waterford, reported at 12:58 a.m. Tuesday someone was hitting mailboxes in the area. Deputies did not find anyone.

Michelle Gibson called for a deputy to come to a residence on Fink Road in Franklin Township in regard to an assault at 10:53 a.m. Sunday. A deputy spoke with Jade Frederick, who reported that while she was driving on state Route 644 she was slapped in the mouth and choked by her 17-year-old boyfriend. Frederick exited the vehicle but was dragged inside by her hair. Her boyfriend then drove her to her grandparents’ home on Fink Road, but in doing so he drove through the yard, striking a tree and causing Frederick to strike her head on the windshield. The boyfriend was picked up by relatives and transported to the Traveler’s Inn in Lisbon. The boyfriend was not at the hotel when deputies arrived. They intend to charge him with assault, driving without a license and reckless operation of a motor vehicle on private property.
Brian Blenbacher, Hartley Road, Knox Township, reported Saturday someone made an unauthorized purchase using his debit card. The transaction was for $206 and occurred at Kmart in Dayton
A caller reported there were ATV riders on Hanna Drive at Guilford Lake at 10:37 p.m. Friday. Deputies checked the area but were unable to locate any ATVs.
Peggy Chestnut, state Route 517, Elkrun Township, reported Friday receiving a letter from someone saying she owes $7,230 to the IRS. The document had her Social Security number. Chestnut was advised her to contact the IRS to determine if this is a scam.
Bob Luketic of FCR Suspension, Wilderson Avenue, East Palestine, reported Friday a customer, Michelle Talboo of Streetsboro, was in the area to pick up a dirt bike he was to repair. Luketic went to meet Talboo at his shop to get paid the $500 he was owed but she was not there and her bike was gone. It had been stored outside.
Stephanie Smith, Hartley Road, Knox Township, called about a suspicious vehicle at 8:40 p.m. Saturday. A deputy checked the area but did not find any vehicles matching the description.
Brandy Bratt of Poland reported being assaulted by her boyfriend Friday night in Youngstown. Bratt said he told her if she went to the home of her friend – Justine Bowley, Bell Road, Lisbon – he would burn it to the ground.,

Joy Ludt, U.S. Route 62, Beloit, called at 12:36 p.m. Friday to say she wanted her 23-year-old son to move out two days ago and just discovered he and his girlfriend were sleeping in the basement. Ludt was advised of the process she needed to follow to evict her son since he was also a legal resident of the domicile. The deputy then went to the basement to speak with the son, who said he did not want to speak with the deputy and would just leave. He gathered his belongings and left with his girlfriend.

Gary Carter, Westville Lake Road, Beloit, reported at 10:59 a.m. Thursday two Poulin chain saws valued at $300 total were missing from the back of his Gator in the barn. He told deputies he suspects family member, who is on drugs and needs money to supply his habit.
Tammie Maxwell, no address listed, asked deputies to check on Constance Richardson, Bayard Road, Homeworth, after she did not return phone calls or messages from family members in a couple weeks. The front porch light was on, the yard was freshly mowed and there were no newspapers or mail left in the box.
Deputies checked on a Sue Drive, Lisbon resident after a home health care worker reported he could see the man sitting in a chair, but was unable to get him to respond at 2:08 p.m. Thursday. Deputies kicked open the door and the man was found to be dead. He was transported to the funeral home by KLG after his doctor agreed to sign the death certificate.
Kurt Banister, Cream Ridge Road, Lisbon, reported at 6:49 p.m. Thursday he has been having some family issues and could not get his mother to leave. Deputies spoke to her and she left.
Mike Mancuso, Lisbon-Canfield Road, Canfield, reported he arrived at a Woodland Drive, Columbiana, location to pick up his vehicle and drop off his work truck. His vehicle, a 2006 black Kia, was gone. A lady who lives there told Mancuso it had been there at noon.

Bonnie Shaffer, state Route 7, Rogers, reported at 12:01 p.m. Wednesday her 16-year-old daughter, Brianna, has been missing from her father’s home on Metz Road since Sunday. The teen is on probation and her probation officer reportedly issued a warrant for her. A missing person’s report was entered into the computer.
Rae Cable, state Route 14, East Palestine, reported Wednesday that sometime overnight someone attempted to pry open the driver’s side front door of her 1985 Grand Marquis, damaging the door jam.

Avery Newberry, Lusk Lock Road, Rogers, reported at 6:34 p.m. Friday someone has removed items from his property without permission, possibly last Monday and Wednesday nights. Someone took 150 assorted sized vehicle tires, 20 vehicle radiators, six catalytic converters and 17 gallons of anti-freeze.
Carol McGill, Geiselman Road, Minerva, reported at 4:03 p.m. Tuesday that while she was gone, but her daughters were at home, someone shook the door knob to the house and banged on the door. The daughters were hiding, but heard a vehicle with a loud exhaust leave the driveway. McGill went home and found the clamp holding the garage door shut was missing. She also found scuff marks on the bottom of the door, which appeared to have been made by someone’s shoe.
Heidi Weaver, Taylor Road, Negley, reported at 11:08 a.m. Tuesday her neighbor walks his pitbull into her yard and lets it poop there. Michelle Lowe, the neighbor’s girlfriend, told deputies they walk their dog on a leash in their own yard, staying on their own side of the fence. Lowe said the property line was just recently surveyed and they are certain where the lines are, but Weaver is yelling at them to get off her property. Lowe further claimed Weaver has threatened to come out and shove the property marker stake through their chests and to shoot her boyfriend’s dog. Lowe said the only neighbors who may have heard Weaver make comments do not get along with Lowe and her boyfriend either.
Michael Carrion, of San Antonio, Texas, who works for Maalt Transportation on state Route 7, New Waterford, reported at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday he had the phone on May 25 but sometime late in the day he could not find it.

Jeff Brown, Flying Finn Campground, East Palestine, reported a domestic dispute at 2:48 p.m. Thursday. Sandra Coyne told deputies when they arrived that she and her husband had been in a domestic. The elderly woman seemed confused, talking about a report from the day before that did not exist. Deputies took her back up the street to her home and were met by her husband of 49 years, Ken Coyne, who was pulling out of the driveway. He told deputies she is suffering from dementia and he is trying to get someone to come to the house to help him, because she is becoming angry with him. She wanted to leave and she was taken by New Waterford EMS to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.
Susie Thompson of Ohio Drill, Georgetown Road, Homeworth, reported a suspicious vehicle at 11:31 p.m. Monday. Deputies checked, but the vehicle was gone.
Vera Rosell, Rochester Road, East Rochester, reported Sunday a vehicle has been sitting at the New Alexandria Christian Church on Rochester Road since Thursday. The vehicle was found to have been stolen. It is owned by Donald R. Babcock of Waynesburg. Deputies contacted the police chief there to contact the owner.
Leetonia EMS had been summoned to a state Route 558 address Sunday after a man, Delbert Schafer, was found lying on the ground near his mailbox. Deputies were called at 1:33 p.m. to assist after he refused treatment.
Candace Chestnut, Maple Grove Lane, New Waterford, reported at 11:56 a.m. Sunday her daughter and her daughter’s former boyfriend were fighting about whether he could take their child for visitation. Deputies spoke to Nicholas Leavans, who said he wanted to take his daughter for the day. He found out while he was there his former girlfriend was seeing someone new and got angry. Deputies explained he should file paperwork through the courts to gain visitation.
Barb Kuder, Winona Road, Salem, reported at 12:40 p.m. Sunday someone broke one of the windows at one of the campsites. The camper is owned by Wendyl Barnes, who told deputies he heard a loud thump, found the window broken and went outside where he could hear someone running through the woods.
Jeramiah Bailey, state Route 170, Rogers, reported at 10:47 a.m. Monday he was receiving harassing messages from his brother, Mark Bailey. He believes his brother wants to come live in a double-wide on his property. Mark Bailey told deputies they purchased the property together and he was letting him know he was having the land surveyed and recorded and would start cleaning out the trailer. Jeramiah Bailey told deputies he did not want Mark Bailey on the property and if he comes he had better bring some proof of ownership.
Howard Barnes, Bayard Road, Minerva, reported at 11:53 a.m. Monday he has several barns and pastures where he keeps horses, including one on Bayard Road, where someone has been walking past the No Trespassing signs onto the property. The gates have been left open and moldy hay was fed to his horses. He is concerned the horses will get out and be running loose on U.S. Route 30 nearby.

Ginger Pitts, state Route 154, Negley, reported at 12:29 a.m. Sunday she left home about 5 p.m. Saturday and when she returned home at 12:20 a.m. she found someone broke out the windshield to their 1972 Camaro and put dents on the passenger door.
Amy Stoffer, Lisbon-Dungannon Road, Hanoverton, reported at 11:37 a.m. Saturday she is only authorized to stay with her uncle Earl Freeman while on probation, but he is threatening to throw her out of his home. She reportedly does not feel safe there and has made arrangements to stay with her father. She was concerned about getting into trouble with her probation officer, leaving her two messages, but unable to reach her.
David Louk, Winona Road, Lisbon, reported a drunk driver and possible domestic dispute at 8:08 p.m. Sunday. Louk said a man and his girlfriend were at his house drinking and left with the intoxicated girlfriend driving and the man in the passenger seat. A few minutes later, the man walked back to the house, then the girlfriend followed in the car. The man got back into the car and they left again driving toward Salem.
Terry Gott, Georgetown Damascus Road, Beloit, reported at 4:47 p.m. Sunday her father was trespassing on her property. Gott claimed her father stopped in front of her house. When she saw him and came out, he left.
A man at the Trails End Motel, state Route 45, Lisbon, reported at 3:44 a.m. Monday he heard a woman screaming for help. Deputies went down the road where the screaming was coming from and were told by home owner Robert Gilbert and his wife that all was well.
Velma Bratt, Sprucevale Road, Rogers, and her son, Scott Bratt, reported at 10:43 p.m. Sunday Rebecca Bollinger returned to their home to retrieve her children and they refused to give them back.
Deputies stopped a red GMC pickup with an obstructed windshield at 7:13 p.m. Sunday on state Route 172 near Depot Road. William Frampton was cited with an expired license and other charges are pending.
Melissa Kelly at Sunoco Gas Station, Westville Lake Road, Beloit, reported at 8:21 a.m. Sunday two teenage boys drove away without paying for nearly $21 in gas.
Robert McNeery, state Route 172, New Alexander, reported at 2:36 a.m. Sunday an elderly woman was screaming for help across the street. McNeery said she has been seeing things and woke him up yelling. Deputies checked the trailer and then heard her yelling for help in the woods. The Minerva Fire Department picked her up and took her to the hospital for an evaluation.
Jennifer Fitzsimmons, Crestview Road, Columbiana, reported Thursday she left home around 7:30 a.m. and returned at 5:45 p.m. to find someone had placed nails in the end of her driveway again. She has been having an ongoing problem.
