Hancock County BLS- CPR/AED class

The Hancock County Health Department, 850 N. Chester St., New Cumberland, will host a BLS- CPR/AED class geared toward healthcare workers from 9 a.m. to noon June 3. Cost is $25.

Tops 1341 meeting

Tops 1341 met at at the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church on Monday, May 11, with Mary Gailey, facilitator, presiding. Dena white was the best loser and Darlene Naukem and Lydia Kraft were the runners up. They chose potato chips and ice cream as the junk foods for the coming week.

The drawing winners were: weight loss and junk foods, White; food chart, Naukem; and Becky Andrews won the 50/50.

Kraft lost weight three weeks in a row. White was three times in the best losers book. Naukem was in the attendance record for 32 weeks. Dorothy Garn now holds the travel box. Gailey won the tortoise/hare contest. The Loser Lotto is ongoing.

Marlene Reynolds presented the program this week. It included articles from AARP, Fear of Falling and Get Lean Faster from Women’s magazine. The articles were read and members shared in a discussion.

The agenda for the next meeting includes: members task responsibilities, member address’s and contact information, and the first reading of the Tops 1341 bylaws.

The meeting opened with pledges and closed with prayer concerns and the Lord’s Prayer.
