St. Clair Township

— Jaminlee Morris, age and address not provided, was issued a citation during an April 29 traffic stop on St. Clair Avenue for an expired sticker and loud muffler.

— Sean Barrett, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for driving under suspension and an expired sticker during an April 29 traffic stop on state Route 170. The vehicle was towed by Calcutta Towing.

— William Hawkins, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for speed of 68 mph in a 45 mph-zone during an April 30 traffic stop on Calcutta Smith Ferry Road.

— Keith Shupp, 48, address not provided, was taken into custody and transported to the Columbiana County Jail for two active warrants after an officer observed him stumbling on the side of East Liverpool Road on May 1. Shupp was found to have on him a glass pipe was residue and a clear capsule with green liquid containing a white crystal substance which Shupp said was meth. He was charged with drug paraphernalia with additional charges pending BCI lab results.

— Seth Oiler, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for driving with a suspended license and fictitious plates during a May 1 traffic stop on Dredden Avenue. The car was towed by Calcutta Towing.

— David Christen II, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for operating a vehicle without a license during a May 1 traffic stop on state Route 267. The vehicle was towed by Calcutta Towing.

— Officers investigated a theft complaint at a Calcutta Smith Ferry Road residence where residents said their wallets and a watch were missing. The couple did not want to press charges due to the suspects being under a court eviction. The resident later called to say the watch and wallet had been returned.

— Officers responded to Walmart on May 5 for a complaint about a Walmart truck blocking a container employees needed to get into and not being able to wake up the driver who was not scheduled to be there. Officers were to wake up the driver after several attempts.

Highway Patrol

— Caleb M. McGath, 29, Woodville Road, Leetonia, was cited for failure to yield turning left after his westbound vehicle on state Route 558 was starting to turn and was struck by an eastbound vehicle driven by Rodney L. Jarvis, 43, Creston, W.Va. at 6:55 p.m. April 28 in Fairfield Township at Fairfield School Road. McGath suffered a suspected minor injury but wasn’t transported. Jarvis was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital by North Star EMS for suspected minor injuries.

— Anthony C. Blancato, 29, High Street, Leetonia, was cited for assured clear distance after his eastbound vehicle on U.S. Route 62 struck the rear of another eastbound vehicle driven by Jessica G. Martinelli, 31, Arch Street, Salem, causing her vehicle to strike the rear of an eastbound vehicle driven by William Allen Hoffman, 61, Bowman Road, Homeworth at 4:07 p.m. April 29 in Perry Township. No injuries were reported.

— Jacob T. Moore, 22, Youngstown, was cited for reasonable control after his southbound vehicle on U.S. Route 30 in Elkrun Township crossed the center line and struck a northbound vehicle driven by Nanette S. Sullivan, 64, Howard, at 7:14 p.m. April 30 and ran off the road and overturned. The Sullivan vehicle ran off the road to the right. Sullivan was transported by West Point Fire/EMS to East Liverpool City Hospital for suspected minor injuries.
