County health board addresses swim safety tips

LISBON — Swim safety topped the topics during a recent Columbiana County Health District Board meeting, with the idea of a water watcher being suggested by both the county and the state. “Someone to observe people in the pool,” county Health District Public Information Officer Laura Fauss said. East Liverpool mayor tells council about preparations for monument unveiling

EAST LIVERPOOL — Mayor Bobby Smith told the East Liverpool City Council during Monday’s council meeting that it was going to be a busy week in the city, with the setting and unveiling of the Revolutionary War Monument at the corner of Sixth and Washington streets. Smith mentioned that a lot of community effort went into the monument which was paid for by donations from community partners like the Eagles and Elks for items such as the flagpoles around the monument.
