State representative wants to include horses in felony animal cruelty

LISBON — State Rep. Monica Robb Blasdel, R-New Waterford, announced Wednesday that she introduced the Ohio Equestrian Protection Act to extend the protections created by Ohio’s felony animal cruelty law to horses. Humane society pauses intake after seizure of over 100 animals

SALEM — The Columbiana County Humane Society has temporarily paused intake of animals following the seizure of more than 100 animals Monday.
