Investigation ongoing in fatal Hancock County fire

CHESTER – An investigation is under way following a fatal structure fire Monday morning. Hancock County dispatch received a call just after 7 a.m., Monday, of a house fire at 5684 Washington School Road, with a report of one person and animals unaccounted for. Crews from Lawrenceville and Chester volunteer fire departments were the first to respond, followed by Newell. LISBON — A new trial date is now set for 9 a.m. Jan. 19 in the case against former East Liverpool City Health District food service inspector Alan Masters, who’s accused of allegedly falsifying food inspection reports.
