SHERIFF'S OFFICE — Deputies were dispatched at 11:19 p.m. Saturday to a Leslie Road address in Madison Township for a domestic, learning one party fled the scene prior to deputies arriving. While conducting the investigation, another person, Ryan E. Williams, 44, Leslie Road, Lisbon, was charged with obstructing official business for allegedly injecting himself into the investigation while he was a bystander at the scene. Lock 24 location turns into event center

ELKTON (WKBN) — A historic Columbiana County landmark is entering a new chapter. A barn along Route 154 in Elkton that dates back to the 1830s is under new ownership. Most people know the property as Lock 24, but now it’s called the 1830 Gathering Place. The building has seen many businesses come and go throughout the years. Now, owner Daniel Geisler says he’s ready for his business to be the next big thing to stay. “The big change we’re doing here is that it’s going to be an event center,” Geisler said. CPR CLASSES SCHEDULED FOR JULY NEW CUMBERLAND, W.Va. — The Hancock County Health Dept. will offer Basic Life Support and Heartsaver classes in July. The BLS class which includes CPR and AED training geared toward healthcare worked is slated from 9 a.m. to noon on July 7. A written exam is mandatory. Cost is $25. The Heartsaver class which includes first aid, CPR and AED training will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on July 28. Cost is $50. Written exam is optional. A student handbook will be available for $5.
