Dumbuya, 31, Akron, was cited for assured clear distance and driving under suspension after his northwestbound vehicle on state Route 14 in Unity Township struck a northwestbound vehicle driven by Kayla Baker, 27, Moore Lane, East Palestine, who was stopped to make a left turn at 7:57 p.m. June 16. Michael Rulli, R-Salem, introduced a bill he said will end predatory litigation by “radical special-interest groups” against the federal government filed under the Equal Access to Justice Act. Wellsville parking ban in effect on 10th Street beginning July 6

Wellsville Mayor Bob Boley has issued a no parking order beginning July 6 on 10th Street from Commerce to Main on the northbound/right side of the road. This will remain in effect for approximately one week as all the telephone poles on that side of the street are replaced. Crews will need room to drill holes for the new poles. Later in July, poles will be replaced on Main Street between 10th and 18th streets.

Canfield Fair Board says no hard alcohol will be sold at fair

CANFIELD (WKBN) — The Canfield Fair Board posted an open letter to the community Tuesday regarding the future of alcohol service at the fairgrounds. The board announced its plan in May to serve alcohol during this year’s fair after voters approved a ballot measure allowing the precinct to go from dry to wet.
