Blood drive planned at Beaver Local

LISBON — A blood drive is being planned at the Beaver Local School District. Student Council representatives Addie Green, McKenzie Ash, and Mason Boggs shared the plans with the Board of Education earlier this month. The drive is scheduled for Nov. 5 in partnership with the American Red Cross. According to information available online, requirements for the drive are that an individual must be at least 17 years old (or 16 with parental consent); must be in good health and weighing at least 110 pounds. School official: Beaver Local spending less per pupil than state average

LISBON — The Beaver Local School District consistently spends less per pupil than the Ohio state average, District Superintendent Eric Lowe said this month. Lowe was happy to share the information during the October Board of Education meeting, in which administrators and the board continued to highlight the district’s success on the annual Report Card. The Report Card results were released by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce in September. Trustees approved $2,800 to Danvers Construction to repair a leak in the roof of the government building, clean the gutters and install gutter guards.
