Commissioners vacate section of Skyview Drive in St. Clair Township

LISBON —A 40-foot section of Skyview Drive in St. Clair Township was vacated this week, with no opposition in attendance at the commissioners’ meeting Wednesday. Petitioner Tammy L. Palma was the lone person there for the public hearing and said the owner of the neighboring property already signed off on the vacation. EAST LIVERPOOL — The City of East Liverpool will celebrate America 250 on July 11 with the unveiling of the Revolutionary Patriots Memorial followed by a wide variety of activities featuring something for all ages. The celebration runs 1 to 8 p.m. The event begins at East Liverpool City Hall, 126 W. Governor rejects photo ID for mail-in voting in Ohio

A bill to require photo identification from all Ohioans who vote by mail has been vetoed by Gov. Mike DeWine. DeWine, who vetoed House Bill 472 Wednesday, said it “would not discourage fraud, would not add any real security and would create an additional and significant burden for Ohioans who vote by mail. “This bill is not needed because Ohio does an excellent job running elections. Trial remains set for man accused of running over pregnant girlfriend

LISBON — The jury trial for the man accused of causing the death of his pregnant girlfriend after allegedly running her over last year in East Liverpool remains set for Oct. 27. Cameron Martin, 20, Minerva Street, East Liverpool, appeared for an interim status hearing in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court before Judge Megan Bickerton on Friday.
