From Staff Reports URICHSVILLE — The Beaver Local boys wrestling team dropped a pair of matches the Ohio High School Wrestling Coaches Association Division II regional duals tournament Saturday at Claymont High School. The third-seede Beavers fell to sixth-seeded Carrollton, 36-34, in the semifinals and to second-seeded Claymont, 43-34, in the consolation match. WARREN — Wellsville junior twins Makayla and Madelyn Landess advanced as individuals and the Crestview boys and girls bowling teams advanced out of the Division II sectional tournament at Freeway Lanes on Sunday. Makayla Landess captured the sectional title with 572 series (187-206-179), eight pins better than Struthers senior Maddie Marshall. Madelyn Landess was 12th with a 443 seres (153-128-162). PITTSBURGH (AP) — New York University now stands alone atop the NCAA Division III women’s basketball record book with 82 consecutive victories. LEETONIA —Lisbon clawed its way back to a two-way tie for first in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference by way of a 67-50 win over Leetonia coupled with a Columbiana loss to Valley Christian on Friday.
