Wellsville Board of Education approves new communication software

WELLSVILLE — The Wellsville school board Monday approved new software to communicate with parents. The board approved the use of Parent Square as the district’s new communication software. Parent Square will be used during the 2026-2027 school year by all district staff members to communicate with parents. Sheriff’s Office — A resident of Parkview Drive, Yellow Creek Township, reported a suspicious person at 12:47 p.m. Tuesday, saying a person on a scooter came to her residence claiming to be an exterminator from Terminex. Lisbon man pleads guilty to assault for 2025 Madison Township shooting

LISBON — A Lisbon man charged with felonious assault and other counts related to a 2025 shooting in Madison Township will face sentencing at 10 a.m. Aug. 28 in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court after entering a guilty plea. Hunter Congrove, 23, state Route 45, pleaded guilty to felonious assault, a second-degree felony, a firearm specification and tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony.
