BWD approves USDA loan for bonds for Hibbetts Mills Project

WELLSVILLE – The Buckeye Water District Board of Trustees Thursday adopted a loan resolution for the incurrence of indebtedness. The loan, which is through the United States Department of Agriculture for water system improvements, is for $985,000. District Manager Al DeAngeles told the board members the loan is for the bonds for the Hibbetts Mill Project Phase 2. LISBON — A man and a woman from the same North Ellsworth Avenue, Salem address charged with rape and multiple other sex-related acts against two children over multiple years appeared in court Friday, with a jury trial date set for the man and a psychiatric evaluation set for the woman. LISBON — A secret indictment for aggravated vehicular homicide was served Thursday to a Niles man accused of causing the death of a Tennessee woman in a two-vehicle crash on state Route 172 in West Township last fall. Michael James Scheuring, 39, was indicted last week for the third-degree felony charge, with the indictment alleging that on Oct. 11, 2025, while operating a 2025 International, he caused the death of Diane Lewallen, recklessly.
