Great safety forces, caregivers

Dear Editor: On Friday June 29, I fell very ill at my home and I collapsed on my bathroom floor. I was sweating and was short of breath. I thought I was having a heart attack. I could not stand up and my wife called the Wellsville Police Department and Life Team E.M.S. I did not have a heart attack, however sepsis infection was going through my body which made me very sick. I would like to thank officer Steve Rodgers and the other police officers that responded, as well as my old fellow employee Scott Wilson and the crew from Life Team E.M.S. They both did a great job. Dear Editor: Let me begin by stating that Donald Trump was not my original choice during the 2016 presidential contest. However, he managed to defeat Dr. Carson and to win that election, but before he could be sworn in, “the resistance” began. Help needed

Dear Editor: Having traveled the full length of W.Va. Route 2, clearly the worst cared for, by far, is the less than 5 miles through Newell and New Cumberland! It’s the same story we who have lived here have heard since I was a young man — all of the money for the state road projects goes to the southern end of the State. Midland HOF ceremony lauded

Dear Editor: Sunday afternoon my wife and I enjoyed the company of friends and a couple of my former coaches at the annual Midland Sports Hall of Fame awards luncheon. It was a “home run” (pun intended)! The excellent program, in the beautiful Alumni Hall venue, was again professionally emceed by Chris Shovlin, who kept the program interesting and moving at an unhurried but flowing pace. Dear Editor: The recent US Supreme Court decision allowing Ohio to curtail its voter rolls is a step in the right direction. The gist of this decision is that those who’ve moved from one address to another without verification or have not voted in three two-year election cycles will have their names removed from voter rolls. Such prospective voters are notified beforehand with a card from the state questioning their current status.
