Masonic Scout ceremony and dinner

The East Liverpool Masonic Lodge will be presenting the Daniel Carter Beard Award to Troop 2012 Scout Master and Master Mason Michael McGown at a ceremony and dinner to be held on Saturday, Sept. 12. The Daniel Carter Beard Masonic Scouter Award is a national recognition given to Master Masons who present outstanding service to youth through Scouting. The evening will begin with a meet and greet at 5 p.m. followed by the ceremony at 6 p.m. and conclude with a roast beef dinner at 7 p.m. Reservations are required. Sheriff’s Office — A deputy at 6:56 p.m. Monday assisted St. Clair Township Police at the KFC in Calcutta with two people wanted for detainment by ICE. The deputy was asked to transport a person identified as Luis Fernando Gurrion-Jimenez, 29, no address listed, due to one of the St. Clair Township officers needing to respond to a different call.
