EAST LIVERPOOL — After several rainouts this season, the Beaver Local and East Liverpool baseball teams were able to finally play each other on Saturday. The Beavers took both games with a 14-2 win in the first game, followed by a 7-3 win in the next one. In the first game, Braxton Hickman had a two singles, a double and four RBIs for Beaver Local. EAST PALESTINE — Beaver Local’s boys track team won just one event, but was consistent through the ranks as it captured the East Palestine Bulldog Invitational on Saturday at Reid Memorial Stadium. WHEELING, W.Va. — The OVAC has named its Hall of Fame selection for the Class of 2026. That special group of honorees will be joined by a trio individuals in the Legends category. Legends are athletes or former coaches whose schools are currently in the OVAC but were not conference members when those individuals scripted their sparkling careers.
