1953-2026 John W. Lewis, 72, of Tampa, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on July 11. A native of Wellsville, John was born on Aug. 31, 1953, the son of Homer and Dorothy Lewis. He graduated from Wellsville High School in 1971, where he was on the basketball team and ran track. Sports were the love of John’s life, both as a participant and a spectator. He attended Mount Union College and Kent State University, playing basketball at both.
