Thomas (Tom) A. Persohn

1948-2025

Thomas (Tom) A. Persohn was born Nov. 30, 1948, in East Liverpool Ohio to the late Joseph P. and Dorothy Anne (Ferguson) Persohn.

He lived in the Wellsville area all his life. He graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1966 and entered the U.S. Navy Nov. 29, 1966. Upon discharge from the Navy, he began an apprenticeship with Plumber Pipefitter Local 495. Tom worked as a welder, foreman, steward, and Superintendent for 45 years.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife Patricia Evelsizer who began the adventure of a lifetime when her best friend said, “George has a friend, “little did she know it was one of the greatest gifts God could give her. Thomas Persohn made her his wife in May of 1970, a beautiful adventure began that lasted 55 wonderful, loving years. From this timeless relationship they were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Karen (Corey) Blakeley and Alison Jackson; five grandchildren. Hayden, Jaymin and Kennedy Jackson, Brandon and Adison Blakeley; as well as two great-grandsons, Kasen and Ryder Jackson. Tom enjoyed working in the garage but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

A celebration will be held at Thomas’ home, 1762 Campground Road, Wellsville OH 43968, on Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, a small service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Food fellowship will be held directly after. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to one of the following organizations. St. Jude’s Children Hospital, Save The Children, or Longs Run Trinity Presbyterian Church.

He is in the compassionate care of the Arner Funeral Chapel.
