Sheriff’s Office
— Dispatch received a call at 3:56 p.m. Thursday from Alliance Police, Stark County, that a man was in the parking lot of Dollar General, U.S. Route 62, Knox Township, staggering around a blue Ford Focus. While a deputy was en route, dispatch advised the man left in the vehicle and was in the city of Alliance, per their dispatch.
— Deputies were dispatched at 7:37 p.m. Wednesday to a property on Homeworth Road, Knox Township, for a person who overdosed. Homeworth Fire Department was on scene and Sebring EMS transported the person to Aultman Alliance Community Hospital in Alliance.
— Leetonia Police called at 4:06 p.m. Wednesday to request a deputy make contact with a woman on Township Line Road, Yellow Creek Township, regarding a traffic violation that occurred in the village. A deputy made contact with the woman, who was advised to contact the Leetonia Police Department.
— A woman on Rose Drive, Center Township, called at 10:10 p.m. Tuesday to report some type of disturbance at her neighbor’s, that they were fighting over clothes and money. A deputy spoke with a man who said everything was fine.
— Deputies were dispatched at 9:24 p.m. Tuesday to Westville Lake Road, Knox Township for a domestic dispute. A refusal to prosecute was signed.
— A found property report was taken at 5:07 p.m. Tuesday at Damascus Cemetery, Valley Road, Butler Township.
Liverpool Township
— John Powell Jr., 34, address not provided, was arrested for an outstanding warrant on March 20 after police responded to a call from a male reporting being locked out of his house. Police arrived to the Price Street residence where they found Powell sitting on the porch. The officers told him that he was trespassed from that property on Sept. 26, 2024 and that if he returned, he would be arrested. Dispatch notified the officers of the outstanding warrant and placed him under arrest for the warrant and criminal trespass.
— Christina Day, age and address not provided, was issued a citation and court date for speed and driving alone on a temporary permit following a March 21 traffic stop on Boring Lane.
— Angelo Avery, age and address not provided, was issued a citation and mandatory court date for driving with suspended license and failure to stop after driving a rental vehicle off the roadway on Alliance Avenue on March 23. Angelo has three open suspensions for child support, OVI and non-compliance. First Class Towing towed the vehicle.
