Columbiana County Municipal

A pretrial hearing has been scheduled in county municipal court for a Lisbon-area man charged with driving drunk while his young son was riding in the back.

Homer C. Carnes Jr., 35, of McCallister Road, is charged with OVI, child endangering and speeding. He pleaded not guilty in court on Friday, and a pretrial hearing is scheduled for July 16.

According to court records, Carnes was driving 100 mph in a 55 mph zone on state Route 154 in Elkrun Township on Monday when stopped by an Ohio Highway Patrol trooper, who determined he was driving under the influence. In the back seat was Carnes’ 2-year-old son, resulting in the child endangering charge.

In other court news, Carla S. Moats, 45, Spillway Road, Lisbon, pleaded innocent to driving without taillights and OVI, and a pretrial hearing is scheduled for July 2. Moats is also charged with possessing drug paraphernalia after she was found with a straw with white residue on it.

Christopher L. Hyler, 26, East Main Street, Leetonia, pleaded innocent to assault and unlawful restraint, and a pretrial hearing is scheduled for June 2. The alleged crimes occurred on May 22, when Hyler reportedly assaulted his girlfriend, Tiffany N. Durk, and told her if she did not drive him to the Salem Walmart he would knock her out or kill her. Once at the Walmart, Durk went the bathroom and called Salem police.

Scott A. Matheson, 23, Sunset Drive, Lisbon, pleaded guilty to driving under suspension and is scheduled to be sentenced on July 13.

A pretrial hearing is scheduled for June 4 in the case of Anthony M. Zimmerly, 26, state Route 644, Kensington, who is charged with drug possession. Sheriff’s deputies called to the residence on April 7 in regard to a possible heroin overdose found Zimmerly in the bathroom along with a syringe and spoon. The substance found on the spoon tested positive for Fentanyl.

A pretrial hearing was scheduled for July 14 for Devon M. Galvin, 18, Columbiana Street, Leetonia, who was charged with reckless operation after wrecking on state Route 7 in Columbiana on Wednesday.

The following people were fined: Courtney M. Orr, 24, Seigler Road, Lisbon, $50 for speeding; Albert D. McClaskey Jr., 48, of New Philadelphia, $150 for failing to use his turn signl while making a turn; Bruce W. Ours, 27, Sherman Street, Lisbon, $200 for driving under suspension; John W. Swain, 27, Mattix Road, Lisbon, $50 for speeding; James M. Doychak, 30, East Garfield Road, Petersburg, $250 for speeding and driving under suspension; Clarence P. Morgan, 40, of Youngstown, $50 for driving without a motorcycle license.

Columbiana County Municipal

In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a June 4 pretrial was set for Glenn E. Collins III, 33, Haywood Street, East Liverpool, charged with theft, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, assault and criminal damaging. Collins allegedly slammed Angela Veglia onto the kitchen floor and than dragged her alongside her GMC Acadia when she tried to stop him from taking it on May 2. He allegedly ran over her mailbox as he left. When the vehicle was recovered in East Liverpool, a laptop and two pistols reportedly were missing from the vehicle.

A June 29 pretrial was set for Matthew J. Ankrom, 24, Aliquippa, Pa., charged with two counts of receiving stolen property. One count is for allegedly pawning a stolen TV for another person, who claimed he did not have an ID to pawn it himself. Another is for allegedly pawning a stolen camera.

Chad R. Squires, 35, Esther Avenue, Wellsville, was fined $700, had his license suspended for 180 days, required to attend a three-day counseling program and to complete 30 hours community service for expired registration and OVI first offense.

John M. Krotky, 46, Garfield Street, Lisbon, was fined $675, had his license suspended for six months, required 40 hours community service and sentenced to three days in jail for OVI first offense. A speeding citation was dismissed.

Oliver M. Aeschbacher, 27, Greentree Place, Lisbon, was fined $450 and had his license suspended for 180 days for possession of marijuana, driving under FRA suspension, use of an unauthorized plate and a traffic control device violation.

Erin M. Bolen, 44, Boardman Street, New Waterford, was fined $400 and required 50 hours community service for two counts of driving under FRA suspension and one count each of turn signal violation and use of an unauthorized plate.

Roy T. Shedd, 53, North Lincoln Avenue, Salem, was fined $300 for driving under FRA suspension and traffic control devices.

David K. Hutto, 29, Holliday Street, East Liverpool, was fined $280 for driving under FRA suspension and a seat belt violation.

Robert Wheaton III, 27, New Garden Avenue, Salem, was fined $250 and required 80 hours community service for misuse of credit cards for using a card belonging to Gray-Fin Manufacturing his employer to purchase $986 in personal items in October 2014.

Joshua M. Seeley, 30, Prospect Street, Salem, was fined $250 and required 40 hours community service for driving under suspension.

William P. Mamounis Jr., 39, Kent, was fined $230 and required 50 hours community service for speeding and driving under suspension amended from driving under OVI suspension.

Elizabeth A. Babb, 48, Manor Drive, Salem, was fined $205 for two counts of assured clear distance and one count of reckless operation amended from hit skip.

Sabre J. Nelson, 39, Cleveland Street, Salem, was fined $150, credited with two days served in jail and required 20 hours community service for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for injuries to John Weaver man on Jan. 16. Weaver, 35, Middlebranch, Ohio, was fined $150 and credited with four days served in jail for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for injuries to Nelson on the same date.

Bernard C. Shuttler Jr., 36, U.S. Route 30, Lisbon, was fined $150, credited with two days served in jail and sentenced to another three days in jail for domestic violence for hitting his girlfriend Heather Smith after she picked him up from a night of drinking.

Joseph W. McKarns, 55, state Route 644, Summitville, was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from speeding.

Sheldon S. Turner, 56, Carrollton, was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from a stop sign violation.

William F. Scyoc III, 24, Walnut Street, Rogers, was fined $150 and required 30 hours community service for driving under suspension.

Heather Beech, 37, West Perry Street, Salem, was fined $150 for no license.

Kevin Ring, 56, East State Street, Salem, was fined $150 for walking around in Salem too intoxicated to keep from falling on April 28.

Paul Soloman III, 33, state Route 517, Lisbon, was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from speeding.

Dawn M. Johnson, 43, Green Beaver Road, Salem, was fined $150 for failure to reinstate a license.

Joseph William Behrens, 54, Drummon Island, Mich., was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from speeding.

Kami Brooks, 51, state Route 518, Lisbon, was fined $150 for animals at large for goats allowed to damage a neighbor’s property on Feb. 22, 2014.

Alyssha M. Hoberek, 26, Princeton Avenue, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty to driving under a 12-point suspension. Sentencing was st for June 30.

A June 4 pretrial was set for Johnathan L. Thorne, 21, Chris Avenue, Washingtonville, charged with OVI first offense, driving under suspension, headlights required, disorderly conduct and falsification for allegedly identifying himself during a traffic stop as Michael Thorne, his twin brother.

A July 2 pretrial was set for Joshua Reese, 20, Louise Avenue, East Liverpool, cited with driving under FRA suspension, seat belt violation and improper registration.

A July 6 pretrial was set for Harper A. Morrison, 18, Louisville, cited with speeding and possession of instruments to ingest or inhale a controlled substance.

A July 21 pretrial was set for Johnathan E. Peterson, 21, Cameron Road, Wellsville, cited with driving under suspension and speeding.

A July 28 pretrial was set for Kevin E. Kirby, 40, West Railroad Street, Columbiana, cited with driving under suspension.

Columbiana County Municipal

In Columbiana County Municipal Court, Gage B. Mountz, 21, St. Jacob-Logtown Road, Leetonia, was bound over to the grand jury on a domestic violence charge. Mountz allegedly struck his mother in the forehead, causing a contusion and laceration requiring medical treatment on Nov. 20.

Denzel A. Crowell, 24, Cleveland, was fined $300 and required 30 hours community service for furnishing false information, driving under suspension and speeding.

Brittany Nichol Eckman, 19, Hoopes Road, Salem, was fined $250 for failure to reinstate her license.

Michael E. Mayer, 21, North Sumner Street, East Palestine, was fined $250, required 40 hours community service and sentenced to three days in jail for underage consumption.

Shane J. Board, 20, Township Road 456, Irondale, was fined $230, required 25 hours community service and had his license suspended for 180 days for possession of marijuana, driving under suspension, a seat belt violation and license plate violation

Derek R. Carter, 43, Erie Street, East Liverpool, was fined $160 and required 10 hours community service for driving under suspension, speeding and a seat belt violation.

Brian Keilman, 37, Richards Avenue, Columbiana, was fined $150 and had his license suspended for 180 days for possession of marijuana.

Noreen R. Smolira, 50, East Third Street, Salem, was fined $150 for failure to control amended from not stopping after an accident not on a street.

A June 4 court trial was set for Gregory J. Gardner, 54, North Pearl Street, Columbiana, charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly fighting in Columbiana on April 19.

A June 29 pretrial was set for Richard T. Hill, 32, Continental Drive, Salem, charged with driving under FRA suspension, hit skip, assured clear distance and falsification for allegedly giving police the name Kenny Hull, instead of his own, following a two-vehicle crash on May 13.

A July 28 pretrial was set for Nicole M. Hilton, 45, North Liberty Street, East Palestine, cited with disorderly conduct for allegedly knocking on a door on North Liberty Street in East Palestine and beg the resident for money and to use her phone on Sunday. Hilton has reportedly been warned multiple times to cease this type of activity.

A June 1 pretrial was set for Tyler J. Gardner, 22, Prospect Street, Salem, cited with obstructing official business and resisting arrest for allegedly walking away and refusing to cooperate with Perry Township police called to remove someone from a Prospect Street apartment on Monday.

A June 1 pretrial was set for Kasmond P. Parker, 28, Warren, charged with theft and two counts of possession of drug abuse instruments for allegedly having two needles and a stolen Xbox gaming system on Friday.

A June 1 pretrial was set for Alyssa E. Beaver, 21, Norton, charged with possession of marijuana, failure to reinstate a license, speeding and theft for allegedly driving away without paying for gas at JT’s Pitt Stop on June 11, 2013.

A June 1 pretrial was set for Brian L. Bable, 32, Pioneer Road, Negley, charged with theft for allegedly taking 85 pounds of aluminum, five pounds of cooper, 20 pounds of steel and 30 pounds of brass from a home on June 10, 2014.

A June 4 pretrial was set for Zachary Charles Willis, 21, state Route 172, East Rochester, cited with use of an unauthorized plate and domestic violence for allegedly hitting his ex-girlfriend, Ashlei Conkle, in the face on Saturday.

A June 23 pretrial was set for Timothy J. Davis, 46, state Route 518, Lisbon, cited with OVI first offense and lane violations.

A June 29 pretrial was set for Sean S. Mills, 25, West Ohio Avenue, Sebring, charged with obstructing official business for allegedly turning in 174.5 hours of community service, which he did not actually perform.

A June 29 pretrial was set for Justin Briones, 52, state Route 165, East Palestine, charged with OVI first offense, lane violations and signals over reversible lanes.

A July 6 pretrial was set for Jackie D. Spencer, 53, Butcher Road, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly punching James Spencer in the jaw on Saturday.

A July 9 pretrial was set for Donald A. Mohr, 50, Benton Road, Salem, cited with driving under suspension.

A July 13 pretrial was set for Melinda K. Virden, 52, state Route 518, Lisbon, cited with driving under FRA suspension.

A July 14 pretrial was set for Allen Brownfield, 19, Bell School Road, East Liverpool, cited with driving under suspension.

A July 16 pretrial was set for Virgil K. Garreston, 25, West High Street, Lisbon, cited with OVI first offense, driving under suspension, registration required, two lights displayed, disorderly conduct while voluntarily intoxicated for allegedly being aggressive including putting his finger aggressively in Trooper Brian Kavanangh’s face.

A July 16 pretrial was set for Alexis M. Liberty, 21, West Pershing Street, Salem, cited with obstructing official business for allegedly assisting her boyfriend, Paul Steiner, in concealing his true identity from police on May 9.

A driving under suspension citation against Earl G. Glendenning, 22, Carmel Achor Road, Rogers, was dismissed due to a clerical error.

Columbiana County Municipal

In Columbiana County Municipal Court, Rusty Ray Altman, 42, Cream Ridge Road, Lisbon, was fined $250, credited with 27 days served in jail and sentenced to an additional 153 days for domestic violence for grabbing Ashley Painter, throwing her to the floor, dragging her outside by her legs, punching her and pulling out her hair on April 29.

John Falkner, 56, Pancake Clarkson Road, Rogers, was fined $725, had his license suspended for six months and sentenced to three days in jail for OVI first offense and driving under FRA suspension. A loud exhaust citation was dismissed.

Tony Rump, 33, Beaver Falls, Pa., was fined $705, had his license suspended for 180 days, required 30 hours community service and ordered to attend a three-day counseling program for OVI first offense and failure to control.

Phillip Clemens, 26, Wayne Bridge Road, Lisbon, was fined $700, had his license suspended for 180 days, required 60 hours of community service and ordered to attend a three-day counseling program for OVI first offense and lane violations.

Robert A. Risden, 24, Slater Road, Salem, was fined $700, had his license suspended for a year, sentenced to 10 days in jail and required 50 hours community service for OVI first offense. A possession of drugs charge and a failure to control citation against Risden was dismissed.

David C. Reidy, 41, Summit Street, Salem, was fined $675, required 40 hours community service and ordered to attend a three-day counseling program for physical control amended from OVI first offense.

Jennifer Kynett, 47, Akron, was fined $700, had her license suspended for 180 days, required 30 hours community service and ordered to attend a three-day counseling program for OVI first offense and marked lanes.

Rachel L. Kreps, 28, U.S. Route 30, Hanoverton, was fined $600, required 80 hours community service and credited with eight days served in jail for speeding, two counts of driving under suspension and one count of obstructing official business for lying about where she was driving.

Carmeron Ray Deruyter, 23, East Lincoln Way, Lisbon, was fined $300 and required 50 hours community service for two counts of driving under suspension.

Jonathan M. Weaver, 27, Bye Road, East Palestine, was fined $250 and credited with 10 days served in jail for aggravated menacing for threatening to ham his 5-year-old daughter’s grandmother, Tammie Cox, on March 27 when she told him not to take the child, of whom she has custody.

Lora J. McMahan, 50, Alliance, was fined $250 for driving under FRA suspension.

Timothy W. Homan, 48, Steubenville Pike, Lisbon, was fined $250 and required 50 hours community service for use of an unauthorized plate and driving under suspension.

Joshua Andrews, 54, North Walnut Street, East Palestine, was fined $150 and sentenced to 30 days in jail for menacing for threatening to harm April Nail and kill both her and her mother. Both threats were made while they were having a phone conversation on June 24, 2014.

Ramona Richoz, 30, Ridge Street, Leetonia, was fined $150, credited with one day served in jail and required 25 hours community service for obstructing official business and no license. Richoz gave police a false name and date of birth on Thursday. A July 2 court trial was set for a red light citation.

Kelsie Reed, 19, Toronto, was fined $150, credited with three days served in jail and required 40 hours community service for receiving stolen property for a stolen TomTom GPS pawned at Cashland.

Ralph J. Pieren, 58, U.S. Route 30, Lisbon, was fined $150 and sentenced to 60 days in jail for driving under suspension.

Bryan Howard Morcco, 35, Berlin Center, was fined $150 for driving under FRA suspension.

Penny M. Wisbith, 39, Hazel Run Road, Hammondsville, was fined $150, required 40 hours community service and credited with three days in jail for domestic violence for kicking the dashboard of Robert Westover’s vehicle, scratching and slapping him on Dec. 19.

Morgen J. May, 19, state Route 9, Hanoverton, was fined $150, credited with three days served in jail and required 30 hours community service for disorderly conduct amended from obstructing official business. May reportedly came out onto his porch with a long barreled gun when deputies arrived on Dec. 19, set it down when ordered to do so, but then ran back into the house when he was ordered to stop.

Mark F. Slonom, 54, Williamsville, N.Y., was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from a stop sign violation.

Mandy E. Smith, 37, Salem Alliance Road, Salem, was fined $130 for a seat belt violation and no license amended from driving under FRA suspension.

Clifford Poynter, 29, Prospect Street, Salem, was fined $100 and had his license suspended for 180 days for marijuana paraphernalia.

Tamma J. Clutter, 47, 18th Street, Wellsville, was fined $100 and credited with two days served for persistent disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for scratching Glenn LaClair on May 20.

John G. Evans, 50, Niles,was fined $50 for no license amended from driving under suspension.

William P. Shuman, 35, Broadway, Wellsville, pleaded no contest to domestic violence for assaulting Holly Slaughter by throwing her to the ground in their home on Thursday. A sentencing hearing was set for June 1.

Robert L. Wright Jr., 38, Commerce Street, Wellsville, pleaded no contest to theft for taking a novelty wooden pizza box and a donation jar from Nick’s Pizza on Thursday. Sentencing was set for June 1.

Michael P. McCue, 30, Beaver Falls, Pa., pleaded guilty to OVI first offense, failure to control and hit skip. Sentencing was set for June 2.

Columbiana County Municipal

A July 9 pretrial was set for James D. Harter, 36, North Market Street, Lisbon, charged with domestic violence and resisting arrest for allegedly choking his wife April Harter while restraining her on the bed on May 9 and then attempting to pull away from police taking him into custody.

A driving under suspension citation against James Sprague, 22, McCracken Road, Salem, was dismissed when a Bureau of Motor Vehicle error was found.

A hit skip and speeding violation was dismissed against Kenneth W. Hull, 32, Southeast Boulevard, Salem, after it was found another person falsely used Hull’s identity when the citation was issued.

In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a May 21 preliminary hearing was set for Jeffrey A. Thompson, charged with felonious assault for allegedly stabbing James Bushman in the left side with a knife during an argument on May 9.

Kirk A. Keys, 21, state Route 518, Lisbon, was fined $675, required to attend a three-day counseling program, had his license suspended for six months and required 30 hours community service for OVI first offense. A failure to control citation was dismissed.

Lawrence R. Keats, 57, Scotts Mill Road, Negley, was fined $675, credited with one day in jail, sentenced to four days in jail, had his license suspended for 270 days and required 30 hours community service for OVI first offense.

Edward J. Bailey Jr., 30, Vine Street, East Liverpool, was fined $300 and sentenced to three days in jail for driving under a 12-point suspension and a stop sign violation.

Ashley S. Baddeley, 29, West Wilson Street, Salem, was fined $250 and required 25 hours community service for driving under suspension.

Brittany Landacre, 21, Main Street, Wellsville, was fined $250 and credited with 10 days in jail for persistent disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for striking her mother Tonya Neville in the eye and threatening to stab her on May 8.

Janaea N. Armstrong, 36, Hawley Avenue, Salem, was fined $150, credited with five days served in jail and required 40 hours community service for theft for attempting to shoplift $135 in merchandise from the Salem Walmart.

Theodore Cassinger Jr., 37, state Route 45, Salem, was fined $150 and required 10 hours community service for driving under suspension and fictitious plates.

Robert C. Henderson, 18, Grant Street, Lisbon, was fined $150 and required 40 hours community service for persistent disorderly conduct for taking a six-and-a-half-inch pocket knife into the opportunity school in his pants pocket.

Ronnie D. McCauley, 32, Lincoln Avenue, Wellsville, was fined $100 and required 25 hours community service for driving under suspension.

Edward E. McMillen, 36, North Howard Avenue, Salem, was fined $100 and required 10 hours community service for driving under suspension.

Heather M. Kirby, 21, Goshen Road, Salem, was fined $50 for no license amended from driving under suspension.

Anthony N. Dailey, 27, Fairview Court, Salem, was fined $50 and required 40 hours community service for criminal trespassing for going to the Salem Walmart on May 9 after previously being warned not to go there.

A May 21 arraignment was set for Brian Burns, 24, North Market Street, East Palestine, charged with domestic violence for allegedly striking his wife, Christina Burns, in the face on May 4.

A June 29 pretrial was set for Allycia R. Cross, 24, Vine Street, Salem, charged with theft for allegedly placing $83 in merchandise into her son’s diaper bag and attempting to leave the Salem Walmart on May 11.

A June 30 pretrial was set for Joseph J. Guerrero, 31, Creek Road, New Waterford, cited with driving under OVI suspension.

A June 30 pretrial was set for Jona N. French, 23, Avon Road, Salineville, charged with OVI first offense.

A July 9 pretrial was set for Walter J. Walsh, 44, West Main Street, East Palestine, charged with OVI first offense and failure to control.

A July 13 pretrial was set for Shannon Cunning, 38, State Street, New Waterford, charged with driving under suspension, use of an unauthorized plate and improper registration.

A driving under suspension citation against Patrick F. Reynolds Jr., 33, Continental Drive, Salem, was dismissed. Reynolds did have limited privileges.

Charges of aggravated menacing, criminal damaging and domestic violence against Robert L. Byrd Jr., 34, Harker Avenue, East Liverpool, were dismissed due to an inability to find a witness. Byrd allegedly entered the home of Christina Carlson on Aten Avenue, injured her, broke things and then stole her car.

A May 28 preliminary hearing was set for Corey D. Cope, 23, last known address Sherman Street, Lisbon, charged with burglary for allegedly entering the home of Stacey Richardson, state Route 164, Columbiana, while she was sleeping and taking a bookbag containing a laptop computer in the early morning hours Tuesday.

Stacey L Butcher, 40, Adams Road, Lisbon, was bound over to the grand jury on charges of possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia for suspected crack cocaine and a glass smoking pipe allegedly found in a vehicle she was riding in on May 15.

Travis A. Swinehart, 21, Fairfield School Road, Columbiana, was fined $955, had his license suspended for 180 days, required 30 hours community service and ordered to attend a three-day counseling program for OVI first offense, possession of marijuana, open container and left of center.

Justin J. Davis, 24, Eric Drive, Lisbon, was fined $250 for speeding, a turn signal violation and no license amended from driving under a 12-point suspension.

Paul David Dabney, 26, West Pershing Street, Salem, was fined $200, credited with one day in jail and sentenced to two days for obstructing official business for identifying himself as Paul Murphy and providing police with several different dates of birth and two different Nevada driver’s license numbers.

Johnetta Nelson, 48, Canton, was fined $200, had her license suspended for 180 days and required 25 hours community service for driving under suspension and possession of marijuana.

Lisa L. Kosky, 39, Bellaire, was fined $180 for a seat belt violation and an equipment violation amended from speeding.

Hank E. Willard, 52, Struthers, was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from speeding.

Cody E. Cameron, 21, Ohio Avenue, Salem, was fined $130 and required 10 hours community service for driving under suspension and speeding.

Columbiana County Municipal

Justin Lunsford, 35, Canton, was fined $150 for speeding.

Adam L. Harrison, 21, Ephriam Street, East Liverpool, was fined $100 and had his license suspended for 180 days for possession of marijuana and speeding.

Kristina J. Danklef, 41, East Fifth Street, Salem, was fined $100, credited with one day served in jail and required 10 hours community service for persistent disorderly conduct for walking intoxicated in the roadway on April 6. An obstructing official business citation for refusing to give police identification and running from them was dismissed.

Kelly Jean Dempsey, 46, McIntosh Road, Wellsville, was fined $100 and required 20 hours community service for passing bad checks for an $800 check written to Carol Armstrong in October 2013 later returned for insufficient funds.

Lisa J. Mountz, 54, St. Jacobs Logtown Road, Leetonia, was fined $100 and required 25 hours community service for driving under suspension.

David L. Algaier, 21, South Elm Street, Columbiana, was fined $100 and required 25 hours community service for driving under suspension.

A June 23 pretrial was set for Jason J. Black, 32, state Route 644, Kensington, cited with failure to reinstate his license, failure to control and hit skip.

A June 25 pretrial was set for Ron J. Hagen, 54, West Park Avenue, Columbiana, charged with domestic violence for allegedly harming June M. Manis on Sunday.

Columbiana County Municipal

In Columbiana County Municipal Court, Amanda L. Kackert, 29, Canal Street, Hanoverton, waived her right to a preliminary hearing on a charge of assaulting a peace officer, obstructing official business and resisting arrest for kicking a Salineville police officer attempting to take her into custody on May 10, as well as interferring in the arrest of Daniel K. Duncan. Bond is set at $100,000 personal recognizance.

A May 21 preliminary hearing was set for Travis J. Barber, 26, Taylor Avenue, New Waterford, charged with intimidation of an attorney, victim or witness. Barber allegedly threatened to kick the rear of the owner of a bicycle if he filed charges. The owner of the bicycle had just loaded it into his vehicle after police had found the bicycle in front of Barber’s home on Sunday, a week after it was reported stolen.

A May 21 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set for Gregory Scott Dennison Jr., 29, Hoopes Road, Salem, charged with a felony charge of possession of cocaine and cited with misdemeanor charges of use of an unauthorized plate and possession of drug paraphernalia. A Highway Patrol trooper doing an inventory of Dennison’s vehicle on Friday reportedly found a plastic baggie containing suspected crack cocaine and a smoking pipe. A May 21 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set for the vehicle’s passenger, Stacey L. Butcher, Tampa, Fla., also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs for the same items.

Ralph Allgood Jr., 48, Day Road, Lisbon, was fined $775, sentenced to 10 days in jail, had his license suspended for one year and required 50 hours community service for OVI second offense and driving under suspension. A parking on the highway citation was dismissed.

Jeffrey Sayer, 20, North Pleasant Drive, East Palestine, was fined $875, had his license suspended for 180 days and required to attend a three-day counseling program and to perform 30 hours community service for OVI first offense, possession of marijuana and speeding for driving 70 mph in a 25 mph zone.

A June 30 pretrial was set for Nathan D. Winn, 24, South Lundy Avenue, Salem, cited with disorderly conduct while voluntarily intoxicated. Winn allegedly came to the police station on Saturday demanding to be arrested because he recently became homeless and had no place to go. When he was told he had no warrants and had not committed a crime, he reportedly asked how he could violate the law so he could go to jail. When the police refused to tell him how to violate the law, Winn reportedly went outside and walked out onto East Pershing Street in front of a moving vehicle. He then refused to leave the street until he was charged.

Scott A. Bailey Jr., 26, Short Street, Salem, was fined $250 and required 40 hours community service for driving under suspension.

Felix O. Rivera, 33, Youngstown, was fined $250 and required 25 hours community service for driving under suspension.

Greg S. Morlan, 37, Brookfield Avenue, Lisbon, pleaded no contest to menacing for threatening to harm Kurt Holloway on Sunday. A sentencing hearing was set for June 4.

Columbiana County Municipal

Trent Willis, 18, Chris Avenue, Washingtonville, was fined $200 and had his license suspended for six months for possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia.

Trina L. Austin, 32, West 13th Street, Salem, was fined $100 and required 10 hours community service for driving under suspension and a registration violation.

Clinton Gibson, 27, Willard Road, Hanoverton, was fined $100 and required 10 hours community service for driving under suspension.

Brittany Eckman, 19, Hoopes Road, Salem, was fined $100 and required 10 hours community service for failure to reinstate a license.

William W. Hostetter, 44, Carter Road, New Waterford, was fined $100 and had his license suspended for 180 days for possession of marijuana.

A May 21 pretrial was set for Ronda J. Narehood, 44, Alice Street, East Palestine, cited with OVI breath first offense and failure to control.

A May 21 pretrial was set for Albert James McVay, 52, Trinity Church Road, Lisbon, charged with theft for allegedly stealing a bottle of wine from Sparkle in Lisbon on April 6. McVay also was ordered to serve a previously suspended 174 days in jail for violating his probation for charges of drug paraphernalia and theft.

A July 2 pretrial was set for Benjamin M. Kuhlen, 18, East Lincoln Way, Lisbon, charged with domestic violence for allegedly throwing a can and striking his mother, Gerlinde K. Bailey, in the head on Tuesday.

A July 7 pretrial was set for Chad E. Pahanish, 35, Whinnery Road, Winona, cited with driving under suspension.

A July 9 pretrial was set for Junior H. Keeder, 60, Main Street, Wellsville, charged with assault for allegedly grabbing Jodi Keeder by her arms, hitting her in the face and pushing her to the ground.

Kelly A. Laubacher, 47, Beechwood Road, Salem, was fined $250 for driving under suspension.

Alfred J. Black Jr., 31, West Third Street, Salem, was fined $250 for driving under suspension.

Laquan D. Jones, 24, Weirton, W.Va., was fined $350 and had his license suspended for six months for driving without a valid license and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Robert M. Valle II, 27, Wintersville, was credited with 12 days served in jail for fictitious plates and no license amended from driving under suspension.

Matthew S. Stanley, 48, Hawkins Road, New Waterford, was fined $150 for no license amended from driving under suspension.

Justin Rodrigo Coblentz, 21, West Perry Street, Salem, was fined $150 for driving under FRA suspension and speeding.

Christopher Michael Gomez, 46, Slippery Rock, Pa., was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from speeding.

A May 21 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set for Gage B. Mountz, 21, St. Jacob-Logtown Road, Leetonia, charged with a felony domestic violence charge and obstructing official business for allegedly running from Salem police through yards, jumping over a fence and hiding behind a tree when police came to his location on Bank Street looking for a person with a warrant at 7:04 p.m. Monday. The domestic violence charge claims he assaulted his mother, Lisa Mountz, by striking her in the forehead causing her to be treated at the Salem Regional Medical Center on Nov. 20, 2014.

Kalijha W. Talbott, 24, Osbourne Road, Salineville, was fined $900, had his license suspended for one year, sentenced to 20 days in jail and required 60 hours community service for OVI second offense and traffic control device violation.

Leroy J. Thomas, 56, Goshen Road, Salem,was fined $675, had his license suspended for six months, sentenced to three days in jail and required 30 hours community service for OVI first offense. An assured clear distance citation was dismissed.

A June 23 pretrial was set for Teresa Sauerwein, 54, South Main Street, Columbiana, cited with OVI first offense and a turn signal violation.

Jacqueline McCrady, 45, South Street, Alliance, was fined $705, had her license suspended for 180 days, required 40 hours community service, required three days in counseling and four hours community service for OVI first offense and speeding. Charges of drug possession, drug paraphernalia and following too closely citation were dismissed.

Shawn Timmons, 28, Prospect Street, Salem, was fined $250, credited with one day served and sentenced to 18 days in jail for two counts of persistent disorderly conduct one amended from domestic violence pushing and elbowing his wife on Jan. 1 and the other for pushing her onto a bed, trying to grab his 15-month-old daughter from the mother while intoxicated and yelling profanities in the presence of his three children all on March 20.

Michael Nagel Jr., 30, Norwalk, was fined $400, had his license suspended for 180 days and required 25 hours community service for possession of marijuana, driving under suspension and expired registration.

William E. Ault Jr., 38, Grant Street, Lisbon, was fined $250 and required 25 hours community service for driving under suspension.

Raymond S. Pyles, 45, Penn Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $200 and credited with a day served in jail for aggravated menacing and criminal damaging for threatening to kill Bridgett Bader and headbutting two windows in her home, breaking one of them.

Daniel M. Poyer, 31, Canonsburg, Pa.,was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from failure to yield at a stop sign.

Denny Cornman, 35, Maple Street, Washingtonville, was fined $150 for a headlights violation amended from speeding.

Jonathan Weis, 26, East Third Street, Salem, was fined $100 and required 10 hours community service for driving under suspension and expired registration.

A May 28 pretrial was set for Shane L. Potts, 25, College Street, East Liverpool, charged with domestic violence, aggravated menacing and criminal damaging. Potts allegedly assaulted Alecia O’Hanlon on May 12, took her cell phone and smashed it off a tree and also threatened to return to burn her house down and damage her vehicles.

A June 15 pretrial was set for James B. Wooten, 60, Woodland Drive, Columbiana, cited with possession of marijuana and menacing for allegedly threatening the life of his son by telling him he would shoot him.

A July 6 pretrial was set for Missie M. Faloba, 35, Trinity Church Road, Lisbon, cited with driving under suspension and use of an unauthorized plate.

Kevin Becerril, 20, County Home Road, Lisbon, signed a waiver of extradition so he can be returned to Indiana where he faces a warrant for failure to appear.

Jamie A. Severs, 36, Cane Street, East Liverpool, waived his right to an extradition hearing so he can be returned to Alabama where he is charged with possession of a recreational controlled substance.

A May 21 sentencing hearing was set for Paul David Dabney, West Pershing Street, Salem, charged with obstructing official business for providing Salem police with a false name, several different dates of birth and two different driver’s license numbers through Nevada.

A May 28 sentencing hearing was set for Bernard C. Shuttler Jr., 36, U.S. Route 30, Lisbon, who pleaded no contest to domestic violence for hitting his girlfriend, Heather Smith, in the head and mouth when she picked him up at the Guilford Lake Grill on Sunday.

A June 8 pretrial was set for Anthony A. Hiles, 46, East Line Street, Minerva, cited with passing bad checks for allegedly writing a $435 check to Classic which was dishonored for insufficient funds in August 2011.

A June 8 pretrial was set for Nicole E. Rhome, 35, Jones Drive, Salem, cited with driving under FRA suspension.

Steven Goodman, 34, Continental Drive, Salem, was fined $150, required 30 hours community service and credited with 11 days served for violating a temporary protection order for stopping by the home of his estranged wife in an attempt to convince her to drop the protection order against him.

Isaac Foor, 20, Benton Road, Salem, was fined $250 and required 25 hours community service for driving under suspension and failure to display.

Amanda Lee Holmes, 24, Campbell, was fined $250 for driving under suspension.

Misty Tice, 31, Anderson Boulevard, East Liverpool, was fined $150 and had her license suspended for 180 days for possession of marijuana.

Dustin L. Calhoun, 24, McKaig Road, Hanoverton, was fined $150 for driving under suspension. A speeding citation was dismissed.

Eric M. Craig, 48, Vine Street, Salem, was fined $150 for use of an unauthorized plate and failure to display a valid sticker.

Klarissa K. Jacobson, 41, New Garden Avenue, Salem, was fined $150 and required 30 hours community service for theft for attempting to shoplift $186 from the Salem Walmart on March 24.

Joseph A. Crooms, 23, Water Street, Salineville, was fined $100 for no license amended from driving under FRA suspension.

Anthony J. Rhodes, 18, East Lake Road, Lisbon, was fined $100 for disorderly conduct amended from assault for punching Auston Dunnington in the mouth repeatedly after pulling him behind a vehicle by the coat on April 3.

A May 18 pretrial was set for Daniel K. Duncan, 36, Schneider Road, Hanoverton, charged with aggravated menacing, resisting arrest and domestic violence. Duncan allegedly threatening to kill his half-brother, Aaron Duncan, several times including on Sunday when he reportedly swore on his children’s life he would kill him. Duncan then reportedly refused to stand up to be taken into custody and deputies tased him. Finally, Duncan reportedly while in the cruiser at the county jail told a deputy, Caleb Wycoff, he was going to show him what the Aryan Brotherhood is all about.

A May 18 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set for Amanda L. Kracket, 29, Canal Street, Hanoverton, charged with assault on a peace officer, obstructing justice and resisting arrest. Kracket allegedly attempted to remove the taser probes from Duncan during his arrest at a state Route 644, Salineville, home on Sunday. Additionally, when deputies were attempting to take her into custody she reportedly continuously tucked her arms under her and struck the deputy in the lip with her hand.

A May 18 pretrial was set for James D. Harter, 36, North Market Street, Lisbon, charged with domestic violence and resisting arrest. Harter allegedly held his wife, April Harter, on the bed and choked her on Saturday. He then reportedly pulled away from police attempting to take him into custody.

Columbiana County Municipal

A May 18 preliminary hearing was set in Columbiana County Municipal Court for Jeffrey A. Thompson, 40, Sandusky, charged with felonious assault for allegedly stabbing James Bushman in his left side with a knife during an argument on Saturday in front of a home on Center Street in Wellsville.

Maximo Pastor, 27, Columbia Street, Salem, was fined $755, had his license suspended for 180 days, required 30 hours community service, sentenced to three days in jail and three days in counseling for OVI first offense, no license and failure to control.

Francine L. Pimentel, 51, East School Street, Salem, was fined $350, sentenced to three days in counseling and required 30 hours community service for driving under suspension and reckless operation amended from OVI first offense. A speeding citation was dismissed.

George E. Faulkner Jr., 28, Pancake Clarkson Road, Rogers, was fined $550 for driving under suspension and lighted lights required.

Steven Watters, 37, Depot Avenue, Rogers, was fined $350, credited with eight days served in jail, sentenced to 22 days in jail and required 30 hours community service for driving under suspension and fictitious plates.

Richard A. Holbrook, 52, North Ellsworth Avenue, Salem, was fined $300 and required 24 hours community service for driving under FRA suspension and failure to display a valid sticker.

In Columbiana County Municipal Court Megan Watt, 37, South Street, East Palestine, was bound over to the Columbiana County Common Pleas Court grand jury on a charge of having weapons while under a disability and theft. Watt allegedly was found to have a rifle stolen from her father’s home without his permission, which she reportedly admitted to taking so she could take it to Negley to sell for drug money.

Richard W. Heffner, 36, County Home Road, Lisbon, waived his right to an extradition hearing so he could return to the state of Pennsylvania and answer for a retail theft charge.

Tiffany D. Herron, 30, state Route 45, Wellsville, was fined $200 and required 50 hours community service for speeding and two counts driving under suspension.

Lynette C. Davis, 46, Riffle Road, Rogers, was fined $180 and required 10 hours community service for driving under suspension and a seat belt violation.

Jesse S. Barton, 33, Winona Road, Salem, was fined $150 for trapping a raccoon out of season and two additional trapping violations involving tagging an animal and size of trap.

Misty Tice, 31, Anderson Boulevard, East Liverpool, was fined $150 and had her license suspended for 180 days for possession of marijuana.

Brandon S. White, 36, Waddell Street, Leetonia, was fined $130 and required 25 hours community service for driving under suspension and a red light violation.

A June 2 pretrial was set for David M. Aurin, 63, West Pine Lake Road, Salem, cited with OVI first offense.

A June 11 pretrial was set for Eric Stanislaw, 46, East South Range Road, New Springfield, charged with physical control and resisting arrest for allegedly pulling away and failing to cooperate with Salem police after he was found sitting in the driver’s seat of his vehicle with the engine running with an odor of alcohol emanating inside on Friday.

A June 18 pretrial was set for Tristan M. Amelung, 18, Beechwood Road, Salem, cited with OVI first offense, a seat belt violation, lane violations and two counts of possession of drugs for alleged marijuana and hashish on May 2.

Marci Marie Mancuso-Kirkpatrick, 30, Washington Street, Leetonia, was fined $250, credited with 19 days served in jail and sentenced to an additional six days in jail for driving under suspension.

Douglas Hawkins, 43, Union Street, Washingtonville, was fined $250 and credited with three days served in jail for persistent disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for headbutting his girlfriend, Shannon Marks, in the face on Jan. 31.

Scott A. Rogers, 21, West North Avenue, East Palestine, was fined $200, had his license suspended for 180 days and required 10 hours community service for driving under suspension and marijuana paraphernalia.

David Aikens, 32, Gilson Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $160 and required 25 hours community service for driving under suspension, a seat belt violation and failure to stop.

Rodney K. McMurray, 49, Old 14 Road, Columbiana, was fined $150 for a headlights violation amended from driving under suspension.

John Eaton, 54, North Pleasant Drive, East Palestine, was fined $150 for two deer permit violations for shooting a deer before purchasing a permit and possessing a deer on another person’s property without purchasing a permit.

Franklin III, 42, Glasgow Road, Lisbon, charged with domestic violence for allegedly grabbing his wife Shannon by the arm, pushing her onto the love seat, jumping on top of her and punching her in the back of the head several times. Later, he then allegedly pushed her and kicked her in the stomach.

In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a May 11 pretrial was set for Shannon L. Franklin, 36, Glasgow Road, Lisbon, charged with three counts of domestic violence for allegedly assaulting her husband, her son and her sister-in-law, during a domestic dispute at her home on Sunday and Monday.

A June 16 pretrial was set for Isaac L. Lemasters Jr., 45, Salineville, Road, Salineville, cited with failure to reinstate a license and defective exhaust.

In Columbiana County Municipal Court, David J. Melanson, 21, Rehoboth, Mass., was bound over to the county grand jury on a charge of receiving stolen property for allegedly having a stolen 12-gauge pump action Ithica shotgun in West Township on April 28. Melanson waived his right to a preliminary hearing. A July 7 pretrial was set on charges of driving under suspension, lane violations and a seat belt violation.

Joshua Voigt, 26, Carmel Achor Road, Rogers, was fined $825, had his license suspended for 180 days, required three days in counseling and 30 hours community service for OVI first offense and marijuana possession.

Randall P. Willison Jr., 52, Monarch Road, Mechanicstown, was fined $250, credited with 16 days served in jail and required 60 hours community service for criminal trespassing for going with a group of people to the home of Larry Parrish, where one person in the group kicked the door in and the others all went inside on Sept. 11, 2010.

Ashley A. Painter, 31, Cream Ridge Road, Lisbon, was fined $250, credited with one day served in jail and required 30 hours community service for persistent disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for head butting Rusty Ray Altman in the forehead and pulling hair from his beard on April 29.

Roger A. Devine, 57, Washington Avenue, Salem, was fined $250 and required 25 hours community service for driving under suspension.

Sidney A. Connor, 60, Laurel, Md., was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from speeding.

A May 14 pretrial was set for Justin S. Downs, 33, Ohio Avenue, Salem, charged with receiving stolen property for allegedly pawning a ring belonging to Barb Rogers for $80 at Downtown Gems and Jewels.

A May 19 pretrial was set for Megan C. Ripley, 21, U.S. Route 30, Lisbon, cited with complicity to commit theft, obstructing official business and three counts driving under suspension. Ripley is accused of assisting a man in shoplifting $318 from the Salem Walmart on April 24 and then denying being with him when Salem police were investigating the matter.

A June 29 pretrial was set for Andrew J. Shafer, 36, Hilltop Drive, Lisbon, cited with OVI first offense, speeding and a seat belt violation.

A July 20 pretrial was set for Dean Curtis Milliron, 32, state Route 39, Wellsville, cited with driving under suspension and possession of instruments to ingest or inhale a controlled substance.

A July 9 pretrial was set for both Devon H. Jones, 22, Cleveland, and Casey R. Carter, 23, Commerce Street, Wellsville, each charged with obstructing justice for allegedly telling deputies no one else was in the home when they saw Richard Faloba run inside on Friday. Deputies actually found Faloba and two others hiding in a basement.

A May 11 pretrial was set for Amy J. Manning, 44, West Main Street, Salineville, charged with possession of a drug abuse instrument, resisting arrest, obstructing official business and falsification. Manning allegedly had a syringe in her sock, lied about her identity by giving police her sister’s information, hid at another West Main Street home and refused to comply with police attempting to place her into a police cruiser.

A May 21 arraignment was set for John David Murch, 49, Warren, cited with criminal trespassing for allegedly returning to the Quik Mart store in Columbiana on Sunday after he was previously told not to be there.

A June 9 pretrial was set for Jeremaine N. Lewis, 29, Sherman Street, Lisbon, cited with disorderly conduct for allegedly banging on the outside bedroom window of his home on Monday when he allegedly was under the influence of marijuana.

A June 16 pretrial was set for Cagney A. Springer, 26, East Main Street, Salineville, charged with driving under FRA suspension and a seat belt violation. Springer was fined $200 and had his license suspended for 180 days for possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia.

A June 23 pretrial was set for Vincent L. Noling, 47, West Columbia Street, Alliance, cited with driving under OVI suspension.

In Columbiana County Municipal Court, Joshua James Gatewood, 24, Salem Alliance Road, Salem, was fined $800, credited with 17 days served and sentenced to an additional 28 days in jail for receiving stolen property, speeding, a windshield violation and two counts of driving under suspension. Gatewood turned in stolen items – five ratchet tie downs, two chains with hooks on each end and a U-shaped metal connector – to Downtown Metals and Recycling for $10 on Oct.16.

Thomas G. Piatt, 20, Vine Street, Salem, was fined $675, had his license suspended for 180 days, was credited with 10 days served in jail, sentenced to an additional 13 days and required 60 hours community service for OVI first offense and traffic control devices.

David Valiquette, 49, Kirk Road, Columbiana, was fined $280, required three days in counseling and 30 hours community service for failure to control, a seat belt violation and reckless operation second offense amended from OVI first offense.

Columbiana County Municipal

In Columbiana County Municipal Court, Clayton D. McDaniel, 37, Steubenville, was fined $775, had his license suspended for 180 days, sentenced to three days in jail and required 30 hours community service for OVI first offense, hit-skip and assured clear distance.

Richard Guy, 55, County Airport Road, East Liverpool, was fined $725, had his license suspended for 180 days, sentenced to attend a three-day counseling program and required 30 hours community service for OVI first offense and speeding.

Robert Biscella, 60, South State Street, New Waterford, was fined $675, had his license suspended for 180 days, required attendance at a three-day counseling program and 30 hours community service for OVI first offense and speeding.

Krista Rachelle Kale, 23, Votaw Drive, Lisbon, was fined $150 and credited with two days served in jail for persistent disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for assaulting Andrew Minich by punching him in the face, breaking his glasses, hitting him in the back of the head and threatening to stab him with a fork on March 13. Minich, 22, Votaw Drive, Lisbon, was fined $150 and credited with two days served in jail for persistent disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for punching Kale in the back several times, grabbing her by the arms, knocking her to the floor, kicking her between the legs and threatening to stab her with a fork ,also on March 13.

Warren W. Andrews, 46, Neeld Road, East Palestine, was fined $150 for a headlights violation amended from speeding.

Scott A. Gilmore, 43, Steubenville, was fined $150 and credited with three days in jail for driving under suspension and speeding.

Sally Stanley, 49, Leslie Road, Lisbon, was fined $100 and credited with a day served in jail for obstructing official business for lying to deputies about taking keys belonging to Brenda Crum.

Luke Jackman, 41, Cannons Mill Road, East Liverpool, was fined $100 and required 25 hours community service for driving under suspension.

A domestic violence charge against Dennis L. Roth, 45, Washington Avenue, Salem, was dismissed due to an uncooperative witness. Roth had been accused of slapping Tracy Beiling, pulling her hair, holding a steak knife and threatening to kill her all on March 15.

A driving under suspension citation against Tracey L. Gromley, 44, Greentree Place, Lisbon, was dismissed.

A fugitive from justice charge against Michael J. Grimm, 42, South Lane, Hanoverton, was dismissed after the state of Alabama declined to proceed with extraditing him on a warrant from their state.

A May 7 pretrial was set for Richard A. Faloba, 46, Trinity Church Road, Lisbon, charged with obstructing justice for running into the basement when deputies attempted to serve him with a warrant at his home on Friday.

A July 9 pretrial was set for Darrell G. Reynolds Jr., 21, Cleveland, charged with obstructing justice for allegedly hiding with Faloba in the basement of his home when deputies were there on Friday.

Columbiana County Municipal

In Columbiana County Municipal Court, Jon M. Warner, 37, Kewanee, Ill., was bound over to the Columbiana County Common Pleas Court grand jury on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of chemicals for drugs.

Warner was reportedly stopped in the parking lot of Family Dollar in Wellsville on April 23. In his vehicle, police claim to have found a green bottle with a white and black substance sticking out from under the driver’s seat, scales and a grinder in the driver’s side door, an electric grinder with white powder in the back seat and an ice pack with a container of liquid camping fuel in the trunk.

Judge Chris Amato raised the cash or surety bond for Warner to $75,000 from $50,000.

Lee T. Knight, 19, West Street, East Palestine, was fined $300, required 50 hours community service and credited with two days served in jail for criminal damaging and receiving stolen property. He was also ordered to pay $700 in restitution to Tammy Lambright and have no contact with her teenage sons. Knight was found on Jan. 3, 2015, riding a boy’s bicycle stolen from Lambright’s front porch on Dec. 22, 2014. He also damaged a door and dining room chair at his mother’s home on March 4.

Natalie Jo Weekley, 48, East Third Street, Salem, was fined $300 and required 30 hours community service for driving under suspension and failure to display a valid sticker.

Andrew J. Wright, 23, Wellsville Avenue, Lisbon, was fined $150, credited with one day served in jail and required 30 hours community service for criminal damaging for throwing a chair into the yard of Mary Richards and breaking a bird bath and feeder on April 23.

Kevin M. Sibila, 28, was fined $150 for failure to reinstate a license.

Ryan W. Dissell, 43, West Grant Street, East Palestine, was fined $100 for speeding and no license amended from driving under suspension.

Tanner L. Bean, 18, Pearl Street, Leetonia, was fined $100 for use of an unauthorized plate.

Danny S. Donohue, 58, Maple Street, Lisbon, was fined $50 for disorderly conduct for public intoxication.

A May 11 pretrial was set for Steven Goodman, 34, Continental Drive, Salem, cited with violation of a temporary protection order for allegedly going to his estranged wife’s home on Thursday and attempting to get her to drop the protection order.

A May 19 pretrial was set for Joshua Scott Gallimore, 27, East Liverpool Road, Lisbon, cited with possession of a suboxone strip. Gallimore will also be sentenced on May 19 after pleading guilty for driving under a 12-point suspension.

A June 6 pretrial was set for Jesse Lee Cote, 36, North Market Street, Lisbon, charged with domestic violence for allegedly grabbing the arm of Taylor Merriman, the mother of his child, pushing her onto the couch and threatening to kill her on Thursday.

A June 15 pretrial was set for Vanessa L. Kidder, 22, state Route 45, Lisbon, cited with OVI first offense and parking on the highway.

A June 18 pretrial was set for William D. Cunning, 37, state Route 154, Rogers, cited with driving under FRA suspension, use of an unauthorized vehicle and unsafe vehicle.

Columbiana County Municipal

A May 7 preliminary hearing was set in Columbiana County Municipal Court for David Jerald Melanson, 21, Rehobath, Mass., charged with receiving stolen property for allegedly having a stolen 12-gauge pump action Ithaca shotgun in his possession of Tuesday. A pretrial was also set for Melanson for citations of driving under suspension, lane violations and a seat belt violation.

Dakota B. Santee, 21, New Garden Avenue, Salem, was bound over to the grand jury for a domestic violence charge. Santee is accused of throwing his pregnant girlfriend onto an air mattress, causing her to bounce onto the floor; kicking in the bathroom door where she was hiding and breaking a mirror; shoving her causing her phone to shatter; and grabbing her by the hair before slamming her to the ground. He reportedly admitted to grabbing her by the hair and pushing her down, but claimed it was in self-defense and to “protect” her and his baby.

Joshua J. Hoover, 30, Brown Street, Lisbon, was fined $250, credited with five days jail served and sentenced to an additional 85 days in jail for obstructing official business. Hoover tried to pass a drug test through the court’s probation department by bringing urine in an empty plastic squeeze bottle labeled as kids sun screen.

Brigham Young, 27, Greentree Place, Lisbon, was fined $250, credited with six days served in the county jail and sentenced to another 21 days for obstructing official business. Young doctored an obituary before trying to use it as proof of his father’s death to get his probation violation hearing changed on June 9, 2014.

Shane N. Forame, 20, New Middletown, was fined $725, had his license suspended for 180 days, sentenced to three days in jail and required a three-day counseling program for OVI first offense, driving under OVI suspension, failure to control and expired registration.

Dakota K. Frank, 19, McCormick Run Road, Salineville, was fined $400 and required 40 hours community service for driving under suspension and an equipment violation amended from improper turn.

Elleck Quinn, 38, West Lincoln Way, Lisbon, was fined $250, credited with three days served in jail and ordered to serve 12 additional days for domestic violence for punching Casey Reynolds in the face and head on Feb. 28.

Ryan M. Hoschar, 18, East Main Street, Washingtonville, was fined $200 and had his license suspended for six months for failure to control and possession of marijuana.

Travis A. Jackson, 25, Butcher Road, Salem, was fined $200 for failure to reinstate a license.

Albert B. Niemetz, 39, County Road, 80, Irondale, was fined $150 for improper or expired registration.

Christopher D. Craft, 21, Maple Avenue, Wellsville, was fined $150 and had his license suspended for six months for possession of two baggies of marijuana.

Kristen M. Guappone, 26, Buffalo Road, Kensington, was fined $150 for use of unauthorized plate.

Nicholas A. Pizzoferrato, 30, West High Street, Lisbon, was fined $150 and required 16 hours community service for speeding.

Amy Marie Trombetto, 41, East Lincoln Way, Lisbon, was fined $100 for an equipment violation amended from a red light violation.

John A. Innella II, 36, East Fifth Street, Salem, was fined $100 for a headlights violation amended from a stop sign violation.

David G. Crom, 37, Stewart Road, Salem, was fined $100 for no license amended from driving under suspension.

Painter, 31, Cream Ridge Road, Lisbon, charged with domestic violence for allegedly headbutting Rusty Ray Altman in the forehead and pulling hair from his beard on Wednesday. A May 7 pretrial also was set for Altman, 42, Cream Ridge Road, Lisbon, charged with domestic violence for allegedly grabbing Painter on Wednesday, throwing her to the floor, dragging her outside by her legs, striking her in the head with his fist and pulling hair from her head.

A May 7 pretrial was set for Matthew M. Brewer, 31, Campground Road, Wellsville, charged with obstructing official business for allegedly refusing multiple orders to lie on the ground while members of the county Drug Task Force were conducting a search warrant at a home on Idaho Street, Wellsville, on Wednesday.

A May 11 court trial was set for Dustin L. Calhoun, 24, Shore Lane, Hanoverton, cited with driving under suspension and speeding.

A May 11 sentencing hearing was set for Martin L. Fletcher, 29, Erie Street, East Liverpool, who pleaded guilty to possession of a drug abuse instrument for a silver case containing two syringes, three push rods, two tie-offs and a burnt spoon found in an Independence Square, Wellsville, apartment.

A May 12 sentencing hearing was set for Amber N. McCauley, 26, Independence Square, Wellsville, charged with endangering children for allegedly having her 6-year-old son in an Independence Square apartment where drug paraphernalia was found on Tuesday.

A June 2 pretrial was set for Lisa R. Galchick, 32, Continental Drive, Salem, cited with failure to stop after an accident and operating without reasonable control.

A June 2 pretrial was set for Carey R. Bucci, 44, Midland, Pa., cited with reckless operation and a seat belt violation.

Columbiana County Municipal

A June 11 pretrial was set for Preston L. Hurst, 19, West Pershing Street, Salem, charged with assault for allegedly grabbing his estranged girlfriend Tiffany Hipple by the neck, choking her, hitting her in the mouth and dragging her through the living room and dining room on March 21.

A June 11 pretrial was set for Theren M. Pearson, 26, Jerome Street, Lisbon, cited with driving under suspension and speeding.

A June 22 pretrial was set for Nancy E. Healy, 60, Green Cove Springs, Fla., cited with no license and traffic control devices.

A June 22 pretrial was set for Jessica Hart, 38, Leak Street, East Palestine, cited with wrongful entrustment.

A July 9 court trial was set for Jerod S. Pirl, 23, Leslie Road, Lisbon, cited with possession of marijuana while at Beaver Creek State Park on Feb. 28.

Joshua R. Monday, 34, Walnut Street, Salem, was found incompetent to stand trial for charges of disorderly conduct for allegedly yelling at passing cars in front of the Flying Pig in Salem on Feb. 19; criminal damaging for reportedly throwing seven pieces of beef jerky and screaming while at the Quaker Village on Dec. 31; criminal mischief for allegedly throwing cups and attempting to pick up the water cooler at Firestone Auto Care on Feb. 20, actions which led to water being spilled on a computer keyboard; and violating a temporary protection order for allegedly going on Jan. 28 into Fernangel’s Tavern owned by Sue Baddeley, who had a protection order also naming her daughter Ashley Baddeley who was there at the time. All the charges have been dismissed.
