— Officers responded to the Vista Motel for a custody dispute on May 8, where the mother said the father was not bringing the child back. When officers arrived, the mother said she talked to the grandmother who said the father was bringing the child back.

— An officer spoke to a female at the station on May 8 who told them that her bank information had been hacked and there were multiple transaction taken from her account totaling over $4,000. She told officers she had already contacted her bank to report the fraud.

— James Davis, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for speed of 76 mph in a 55-mph zone during a May 8 traffic stop on state Route 39.

— Officers told a female at a Virginia Street residence on May 8 who reported her roommate leaving with two males in a vehicle that the roommate is able to leave on her own free will since the female has no power of attorney or guardianship over her.

— Marlene Hubstenberger, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for no driver’s license during a May 8 traffic stop on St. Clair Avenue.

— A female came to the police department on May 8 to report a domestic violence incident with Michael McConnell, 28, East Liverpool. The female said she was trying to take video of the male’s room due to it being messy because she was trying to get him evicted. She said the male started pushing her and slammed the door with her arm stuck in it and she was able to capture some of it on video. McConnell was taken into custody at his Avondale Street residence. McConnell denied the incident happened the way it was described. He was transported to the Columbiana County Jail and charged with domestic violence.

— Officers on May 8 were advised to be on the lookout in the area of West 5th Street for a patient who had left the hospital against medical advice.

— An officer met with a male at Dairy Queen to speak with him regarding an alleged incident at the Vista Motel. The male told the officer he thought people were watching him from the room next door through holes in the wall. The officer spoke with the manager who said he had addressed the issue and he wanted the male gone by the next the day.

— Officers on May 8 responded to a Pope Street residence for a report of a male not wanting to leave the property. When officers arrived, they saw a Rent-A-Center truck in the driveway. The resident told officers the driver was refusing to leave over non-payment of items. The driver was advised by the officer to take another route than they do when customers do not pay.

— Officers checked the area of Michigan Avenue after receiving a dirt bike complaint on May 8.

— An officer investigating a complaint of black smoke from a yard at a Briar Alley residence on May 8 called the fire department who told the resident he could not burn clothes and metal items. The resident put the fire out.

— Officers checked the Riverview Apartments on May 8 after receiving a report of a male who wasn’t supposed to be on the property being in one of the apartments.

— Christopher Lanave, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for speed of 70 mph in a 50-mph zone during a May 8 traffic stop on state Route 39.
