Former Liverpool Township police chief in trouble again

LISBON — Former Liverpool Township police chief Jayson Jackson is facing another domestic violence charge, this time a felony, for punching a woman several times during a domestic which started Sunday night. Jackson, 53, Campground Road, Wellsville appeared via video for arraignment Monday morning in Columbiana County Municipal Court for a fourth-degree felony charge. A preliminary hearing is now set for 1 p.m. Aug. 3. He was released from the county jail Monday after posting bond, which was set at $30,000 cash or surety. Sheriff’s Office — A man on state Route 7, Madison Township, called at 5:52 p.m. Saturday to report he was towing a vehicle off of his property that was parked there. The vehicle belonged to a Wayne Bridge Road, Center Township resident. — A deputy stood by for traffic control at 4:02 p.m. Saturday in the 1700 block of northbound lane of Cunningham Road, Salem Township, for a vehicle that ran out of fuel.
