East Liverpool mayor tells council about preparations for monument unveiling

EAST LIVERPOOL — Mayor Bobby Smith told the East Liverpool City Council during Monday’s council meeting that it was going to be a busy week in the city, with the setting and unveiling of the Revolutionary War Monument at the corner of Sixth and Washington streets. Smith mentioned that a lot of community effort went into the monument which was paid for by donations from community partners like the Eagles and Elks for items such as the flagpoles around the monument. Wellsville to look into injunction against data center

WELLSVILLE — Village council is considering an injunction to stop a proposed data center in Yellow Creek Township. Council has asked village solicitor Chris Weeda to research the options on what steps need to be taken to file the injunction.
