LISBON — Columbiana County Board of Elections board member Greg Smith of Salem resigned Friday effective today, with the Columbiana County Republican Party Central Committee expected to name a replacement. Smith joined the board in March 2025 and said he was resigning for health reasons for his battle against cancer and to join the campaign of Robert Sprague, the current Ohio Treasurer who’s running for Ohio Secretary of State. Hancock Commission appoints two members to county park board
NEW CUMBERLAND – Months after discussing whether to take oversight of the county’s recreation system themselves, Hancock County commissioners on Thursday approved the appointment of two new members to the Hancock County Board of Parks and Recreation. As part of Thursday’s commission meeting, the appointments of Liz Lundberg and Bernie Virden were unanimously approved, making them the newest members of the board. “I think both are tremendous assets to the county,” Commissioner Tommy Ogden said. CCBDD approves sponsorship for junior fair all in show
LISBON – Superintendent Bill Devon in his report to board members during the May 20 meeting of the Columbiana County Board of Developmental Disabilities (CCBDD) said the Robert Bycroft School held their graduation on May 14 and their field day on May 8 and everyone had a great time.
