East Liverpool City Hospital Community Festival canceled Due to the weather forecast for today, the East Liverpool City Hospital Community Festival event has been canceled. A statement issued by the hospital said “the safety of our sponsors, community partners, staff, volunteers, and community is always our top priority. Newell Fun Day set for Aug. 1

Newell Fun Day is scheduled for Aug. 1. Activities start at 11 a.m. with the water parade at 4 p.m. Mad River Men will perform at 3 p.m. There will be a cornhole tournament, dunk tank, bounce house, foam pit and food trucks as well as the Fun Day’s first 5K event Stop Drop and Run beginning at 9 p.m. Water barrels will line the streets of Washington Street, just bring a squirt gun. Fireman will have an obstacle course for the children to try their skills.

Tops 1341 holds meeting

GLENMOOR – Tops 1341 met at the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church Monday, July 13, with Mary Gailey, facilitator, presiding. The best loser was Patty Gruszecki and the runner up was Marlene Reynolds. They chose brownies and chocolate cookies as the junk food for the coming week. The drawing winners were: 50/50, Pat Allison; food chart, Reynolds; junk food, Dorothy Garn; and jackpot winner, Gailey.
