Newell Fun Day is scheduled for Aug. 1. Activities start at 11 a.m. with the water parade at 4 p.m. Mad River Men will perform at 3 p.m. There will be a cornhole tournament, dunk tank, bounce house, foam pit and food trucks as well as the Fun Day's first 5K event Stop Drop and Run beginning at 9 p.m. Water barrels will line the streets of Washington Street, just bring a squirt gun. Fireman will have an obstacle course for the children to try their skills.
