SALEM- A local couple will mark a rare milestone Dec. 1- 70 years of marriage.Robert and Laura (Wack) Biery will be honored at an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. today, Nov. 29, at the Bunker Hill United Methodist Church. EAST LIVERPOOL - Mary and Daniel Harris of East Liverpool, were recently honored for their 50th Anniversary with a surprise party given by their family at the 1st Nazarene Church, where they are members. Approximately 100 attended.They were married on Nov 16, 1965 by Justice of the Peace, the late Richard Wilton in Ohioville, Pa. The late Shirley K. Buckleys celebrate 73rd anniversary
NEW CUMBERLAND - Wilma Allison and Robert L. Buckley celebrated their 73rd Anniversary at home with their family.They were married Nov. 4, 1942, in the home of her parents, Carl and Callie Allison, on Gas Valley Road, with Rev. A.L. Gladden officiating. Attendants were Doris Nonamaker and Earl Cooper.The Buckleys have six children, Robert, JoAnna, AynnRae, Donald and Lee; eight grandchildren and 9-great grandchildren. Baileys celebrate 50th anniversary
ROGERS - Jim and Joyce Bailey, of Rogers, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house on Sept. 26 at the Negley Fire Hall, hosted by their children, Jim and Chris of Gilbertville, Iowa, Joe and Beth of Shorewood Ill. and Jason and Sheryl of Rogers.Mr. and Mrs. Bailey were married Sept. 19, 1965 at the old St. John Lutheran Church in East Liverpool.Three of their five grandchildren were able to attend with about 150 other guests.
Smiths celebrate 50th anniversary
EAST LIVERPOOL - Bob and Dottie Smith of East Liverpool, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 5, 2015.The wedding ceremony was at the First Methodist Church of East Liverpool. The wedding party members were Rosalyn Cox, and Laurine Richardson, sisters of the bride and Mary Conley Forbes, friend of the bride, Martin Lieschner, Robert McNicol and Arthur Smith.The honeymoon was in Niagra Falls.They are the parents of two children, a daughter Lynnette Brandt and a son Robert A. Smith, both of Columbus and five grandchildren.The couple are planning a trip to Nassau, Bahamas.
