Letters To The Editor

Last word

Dear Editor: The base of the Democrat Party believe that all Republicans are pure evil with the media adding to the fervor. The Republicans all know the Democrat base is just plain wrong about everything and recognize the media’s part. This stark difference of opinion makes the idiom of “common ground” a waste of time. The alt-left’s only obsession is to crush Republicans, not better America. As well, the champions of these leftwing radicals (their elected representatives) will do and say anything too encourage lawlessness — cue the media bias against President ...

Team Chris update

Dear Editor: When we started on Team Chris and the Chris Aikens Kidney Fund project, our goal was to raise $50,000. We have raised $35,000 to date. We are still working to raise the other $15,000, and are hoping we will be able to reach this goal with the continued support of the community. Chris was able to get his kidney transplant and is doing well. Everyone who has been working for Team Chris and everyone who has supported Team Chris made this transplant possible. You should be very proud of yourselves for doing your part in giving Chris added life. Without the transplant, we ...

People do care and respect

Dear Editor: On Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, I invited, and had the pleasure of taking one of my best friends, and his Marine son, Austin Phillips, (age 17 / Delayed Entry Program), to breakfast at Vizunz’s. Upon my arrival, I was early. When they arrived and Austin walked in with his “Blues on Uniform,” I was so proud and speechless. He looked like he should be on a Marine billboard. Austin just graduated from Paris Island, and is home for a short visit. As we ordered our breakfast and waited, so many people in the restaurant came over to Austin to thank him for serving the United ...

A Valentine

Dear Editor: A Valentine from Above. God sends His Love to us. Will you receive a Valentine of Love? Only believe that our Lord Jesus will never leave us or forsake us. Not for just a day, but every day, His Love is real. Can we return His Love by loving Him in return? If you don’t have a relationship with Christ, pray a small prayer from your heart. “Please forgive me for things I’ve said to offend you, and I ask You to come into my heart, my Lord and Savior, and I believe right now I am saved.” This is my Valentine to you. Riding coattails

Dear Editor: At riding on coattails, Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) is the epitome of that political idiom. Sen. Brown rode into Congress in the wake of “Bush bashing,” Obama hysteria — and what an easy ride it was. His entire career in Congress has only showcased his staunch support and defense of Democrat Party politics, not of representing the American citizens of Ohio. Brown’s accomplishments are part and parcel to the Obama-nation legacy of rule-by-man, not govern-by-law. After eight long arduous years of Obama, the lockstep support by Democrats like Brown, and Brown’s ...

Nuclear war approaching

Dear Editor: Is there going to be an all out nuclear war? One that will end all life on earth. There was this guy that bought a parrot. The parrot could talk in five different languages. He paid $5,000 for it. He sent the parrot to his mother over in “Old Country.” He called his mother and asked about the parrot. His mother said it was “delicious.” She ate it with potatoes and broccoli. He told her it was a special parrot, it could speak five different languages. He paid $5,000 for it. His mother asked, why didn’t you say something? Fair warning. If we don’t do ...
