LISBON — A man accused of engaging in sexual activity with a 13-year-old child earlier this year is scheduled to face a jury trial on Feb. 9 in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court. Wayne R. Tate, 51, Broadway Avenue, Wellsville, appeared Friday for a pretrial before Common Pleas Court Judge Megan Bickerton, accompanied by defense attorney James Melfi, who was there on behalf of Tate’s defense attorney David Betras. LISBON — The driver accused of hitting and killing a pedestrian and then fleeing the scene in East Liverpool on Feb. 4 won’t face a jury trial until 9 a.m. Jan. 26 next year. Tracy C. Cutrona’s proposed bill to ensure Flock cameras data is used properly

With the use of Flock Safety automated license plate reader cameras coming under scrutiny, state Sen. Al Cutrona said he plans to introduce legislation to ensure information they collect is used appropriately. Cutrona, R-Canfield, said: “Ensuring that the rights and privacy of citizens is upheld is the default standard in a government that is of, by and for the people.
