Benjamin Dalrymple

YOUNGSTOWN – Benjamin Dalrymple of Wellsville, served in a leadership role on the campus of Youngstown State University this semester as a Peer Leader, IGNITE Leader. He is in the Integrated Math Education program at YSU.

Three groups of student leaders helped to welcome and orient the incoming class of YSU freshmen in August:

Orientation Leaders help incoming freshmen and transfer students have a seamless transition to YSU life. These student leaders facilitate small group discussions, teambuilding activities, campus tours and more. They are selected based on commitment to the university, ability to represent all aspects of campus life and communication skills.

IGNITE Leaders assisted the Class of 2020 in their transition to campus through an extensive one-day orientation program. These leaders facilitate team builders, share insights about campus life and answer any questions about being a student at YSU.

Peer Leaders assist freshmen throughout the entire year by being a resource and a fellow peer to share accomplishments with. They help students through all different stages of the academic year and make sure they are aware of all the beneficial resources on campus.
