Oak Glen secures state berths

WEST UNION, W.Va. — Oak Glen's track and field teams competed in the Class AA, Region 1 meet on Wednesday at Doddridge County High School. Individual automatic state qualifiers for the girls included Lacey Cameron in the 1600-meter run (2nd in 5:50.67) and Emma Francis in the shot put (2nd with a best throw of 33 feet, 2 inches). Francis was also fifth in the discus (102-3) and is expected to be an at-large state qualifier.
