WILLEY HONORED NEW MANCHESTER, W.Va. — Oak Glen junior Noah Willey received honorable mention on the All-West Virginia Class AA baseball team selected by the West Virginia Sports Writers Association. Willey went 5-0 in 12 appearances on the mound with a 1.91 ERA. In 62 1/3 innings, he struck out 92 and walked 19. He also batted .220 with two doubles, three triples and five stolen bases. Girls flag football recognized by OHSAA

COLUMBUS – The Ohio High School Athletic Association has elevated girls flag football to a fully recognized sport for the 2026-27 school year, following a unanimous vote of the OHSAA Board of Directors at its June meeting. Girls flag football becomes the OHSAA’s 29th recognized sport, including 15 sports for girls and 14 for boys. There are now 23 high school state associations in the United States that sanction girls flag football and a total of 40 states that offer girls high school football programs. CLEVELAND — Cleveland Cavaliers draft pick Meleek Thomas honed his skills in Midland, Pa. Thomas, a 6-foot-3 freshman guard from Arkansas, was the 34th pick in the NBA draft on Wednesday night.
