CALDWELL — State-ranked Caldwell rolled over Southern Local, 25-18, 25-12, 25-13, in an Ohio Valley Athletic Conference Tournament Class 2A semifinal Tuesday.

Caldwell, ranked sixth in the Division VII state poll and coming off a 3-0 win over Union Local, improves to 15-5. Southern drops to 11-10.

Topping the Indians were Addy Martin with six points, Katie Kellogg five points and four kills, Haylee Kellogg six kills, and Allyssa Shroades and Natalia Lopez each with four klls and two blocks.

Caldwell also won the junior varsity match, 25-11, 25-7.

Southern will play at Clay-Battelle on Thursday.

Shendandoah 3, Columbiana 1

SARAHSVILLE — State-ranked Shenandoah defeated Columbiana, 25-14, 25-23, 20-25, 25-19, in an Ohio Valley Athletic Conference Tournament Class 3A semifinal Tuesday.

The Zeps, ranked ninth in the Division VI state poll, were coming off consecutive losses to Union Local and Warren. They improved to 18-3.

The Clippers are 18-3, too.

Topping the Clippers were Evy Rapp with 15 points, four aces, four kills and 16 digs; Addisyn Dangler nine points, 11 kills and three digs; Landry Smith seven points, three aces, 19 kills and two blocks; Eva swaller five points, three kills, 32 assists and four digs; and Layla McCarthy had 17 digs.

Madonna 3, Heartland 1

WEIRTON, W.Va. — Weirton Madonna scored the last three points to hold off Heartland Christian, 25-16, 25-17, 23-25, 16-25, 15-12, in an Ohio Valley Athletic Conference Class 1A Wednesday.
