Family member speaks out about incident

To the editor: My family was dealt a blow recently when my cousin died from a genetic heart anomaly. The circumstances of her passing were not suspicious in any way and law enforcement was not involved beyond the first day. Any normal human being would have looked at this situation and done everything possible to avoid adding to her mom’s, sister’s and brother’s grief. To the editor: “Losers and Suckers.” “Losers and Suckers.” That’s how Trump described us while being interview by Bob Woodward on TV. I am an 80-year-old former volunteer GI. I enlisted, trained stateside, then shipped out to Germany for two-and-half years. Six months of that was an involuntary extension due to rising tensions in Berlin. To the editor: I would like to take this opportunity to thank the owners and employees of the Sparkle Market in Lisbon for their many years of service to the community. We at Family Recovery Center have had a long relationship with the store and its management. We thank them for the times they have hired our women to work in the store and give them their first chance of having a real job and becoming responsible members of the community.
