To the editor: “Losers and Suckers.” “Losers and Suckers.” That’s how Trump described us while being interview by Bob Woodward on TV. I am an 80-year-old former volunteer GI. I enlisted, trained stateside, then shipped out to Germany for two-and-half years. Six months of that was an involuntary extension due to rising tensions in Berlin. To the editor: This is the first time that I’ve ever written such a letter, but I have a few things that need to be stated. First off, my name is Richard Allan Blythe, and I’m from East Liverpool, but have moved out of the area some time ago. To the editor: I would like to take this opportunity to thank the owners and employees of the Sparkle Market in Lisbon for their many years of service to the community. We at Family Recovery Center have had a long relationship with the store and its management. We thank them for the times they have hired our women to work in the store and give them their first chance of having a real job and becoming responsible members of the community. Secondly, I personally thank the staff for having a great bakery department and the best donuts in the area as they were unbeatable. I will also miss ...

To the editor: I ask local Democrats do you want to “re-imagine” our police force, our courts and system of government? Do you want to “defund” our sheriff’s department? The Democrat Party that you belong to wants to “re-imagine” and “de-fund” the police.
