Madeylon M. Starkey

1925-2026

EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio — Madeylon M. Starkey, of East Liverpool, passed away on Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, at CrossRoads at Beaver Creek. She was 100 years old. Madeylon was born Dec. 1, 1925, a daughter of the late Denna and Marie Hickman. She was a 1943 graduate of East Liverpool High School and worked for many years as a cashier at Cable Value King. She was fondly known for her talents as a quilter, her love of cooking for family and friends, and her travels throughout the United States, especially the time she enjoyed in Florida. Most of all, she adored her family, but especially her two grandchildren and great-grandchild. Madeylon was also a member of the Tri-Angle Senior Citizens and the Grandmothers Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Evert O. Starkey; her sons, Michael Starkey and Jerry Starkey; sister, Georgia Franczek; and her brother, Charles Hickman.

Left to cherish her memory are her twin grandsons Ian Clement and Kriston Clement; a great-grandson, Ian Clement Jr; many nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, Judith Gill and her husband Tom.

In accordance with Madeylon’s wishes, no services will be held. The Dawson Funeral Home has assisted the family with arrangements.
