1939-2026

Naomi V. Rudder, 86, of New Cumberland, passed away on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh after a brief illness.

Born on Feb. 10, 1939, in East Liverpool, Naomi was the beloved daughter of the late Lloyd and Velma Congo McCune.

She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Malcom Rudder; sons, Charles Morgan Jr. and Craig Morgan; daughter, Christine Peterson; son-in-law, Larry Marshall; and brothers, James and Robert McCune.

She attended Wellsville High School and later worked in the kitchen at Fox’s Nursing Home.

Naomi was known for her fun-loving and kind-hearted nature, and her love of hugs brought joy to those around her.

She enjoyed crafting with plastic canvas, playing on her tablet, solving crossword puzzles, and reading.

She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Caron Morgan and Candis Marshall; her grandchildren, Thomas Wright II (Tayla Bott), Misty Crow (Dan), Ryan Call (Virginia), Amanda Roe (Brandon), Jennifer Lynch (Justin), Terry Call, Courtney Stephens (Rob), Glenn Hall, and Christy Pulver (Jesse); as well as 15 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Naomi’s life will be held on Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, at 4 p.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Dirk Hall officiating. Friends may visit with her family two hours prior to the service, from 2 to 4 p.m.
