Roger H. Linville

Roger H. Linville, 81, a lifelong resident of East Liverpool, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Sept, 24 at East Liverpool City Hospital under hospice care.
Roger was a 1963 graduate of East Liverpool High school where he was a standout athlete in basketball, baseball and cross country, where he held the record for many years.
He served in the army during the Vietnam War era 1965 through 1967. He was honorably discharged and returned home where he worked at Crucible Steel for 42 years until his retirement.
Roger was an avid golfer playing in different golf leagues in the area and traveling to Myrtle Beach several times with his friends on golfing trips.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carole (Reese) Linville, whom he married March 2, 1984. They spent 41 happy years together.
Roger is also survived by one son, Roger Linville of Port Orange, Florida. Another son, Mike Linville of Tennessee, preceded him in death.
He raised three step-daughters from a young age who include, Holly (Kelly) Keller of Canfield, Ohio, Heather Keller of Wellsville, Ohio and Marcie (Ron) Ammon of East Liverpool.
There are seven grandchildren: Kaylee and Ryan Linville of Florida, Lyndsey Linville of Tennessee Ali Ammon of East Liverpool, Olivia Keller of Canfield and Kyleigh Keller of Wellsville.
No services are being held due to Roger’s request.
