Martha Lee Riley

CHESTER — Martha Lee Riley, 89, of Chester, passed away September 27, 2024.

Born February 17, 1935 in Lennyville, she was the daughter of the late Brady Miller and Ines (Haynes) Smith.

Martha was retired from Homer Laughlin, Martha and her first husband, Roy Burch, were long time managers of Kennedy Park Marina. She was a member of the Chester Legion and VFW.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Roy Burch; two sisters, Nora Jane Thornberry, Margaret Ellen Hanna; a brother Marlin Miller; three half-brothers, Johnnie Neff, Allen Miller and James Miller; two half sisters, Mary Frame, Irene Lorelio.

Surviving are her husband Jack Riley of Chester; a daughter Royce (Randy) Eckleberry of Chester; a son Richard (Tammy) Burch of Falling Waters, WV, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two half-brothers Brady Miller and William (Audrey) Miller, both of Lennyville and sister-in-law Sharon Neff of New Cumberland.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, September 29, 2024 from 3-6 p.m. at the Nixon Funeral Home in Newell, where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m., there will be visitation from 10 a.m. till time of service. Interment will follow in Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens, Newell, WV.
