EAST LIVERPOOL — Beaver Local got a home run and two RBIs from Ciara Call in an 8-1 win over East Liverpool on Friday at Patterson Field.

Brenna Jones added two hits including a double with an RBI. Addie Thurik had a double.

Mya Anderson mastered the Potters with five strikeouts and four walks in the complete game effort.

Beaver Local is 4-1 and will begin a Myrtle Beach trip on Monday.

Kylee Evans had a double and single for the Potters. Tatum Fink was the losing pitcher with 11 strikeouts and four walks in seven innings.

East Liverpool (1-2) is scheduled to host Wellsville Saturday.

TORONTO — Toronto had seven extra base hits in a 19-9 rout of Wellsville on Friday.

Wellsville falls to 2-1.

For the Tigers, Aleena Owens had a single, double and three RBIs. Rylee Brown had a double and two RBIs. Madelyn Drysdale had a double.

Makayla Landess had two strikeouts and three walks in 5 1/3 innings.

SALINEVILLE — Weirton Madonna limited Southern to three hits in a 13-2 win in five innings on Friday in baseball action.

For Southern, Landen Heffner had two hits. Zac Mayfield had the other hit.

Mason Pitts took the loss with four walks and four strikeouts in four innings.

Jacob Lazear had a single, two doubles and two RBIs for the Blue Dons.

Reno Fuscardo was the winning pitcher with 10 strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings.

Southern is at Leetonia on Monday.

Oak Glen 3, Shadyside 2

NEW MANCHESTER, W.Va. — Gannon Cline’s RBI single with one out in the seventh lifted Oak Glen to a 3-2 win over Shadyside on Friday.

Camm Dittman had a single, double and two RBIs for the Bears. Cam Carter also had two hits.

James Rohbeck was the winning pitcher as he had two strikeouts in one inning of work.

Oak Glen is 1-2 and will host Tyler on Saturday.
