Court News LISBON — An East Liverpool man charged with passing bad checks was found not currently competent to stand trial, but with a probability of being restored to competency. Shawn Peddicord, 43, Wilbert Avenue, was charged with one count of fourth-degree felony passing bad checks for allegedly attempting to defraud a man with a check written for $17,650 on Jan. 30. Based on an evaluation by the Forensic Psychiatric Center of Northeast Ohio, Columbiana County Common Pleas Court Judge Scott Washam made the ruling regarding Peddicord’s competency.
