— An officer went to Berndines Tavern on Feb. 11 to follow up on an assault that happened there the night before.

— Officers searched the area around Woodland Hills Apartments on Feb. 12 for a person reported to be causing a disturbance.

— Amber Bennett was issued a citation with a court date for a stop sign violation during a Feb. 12 traffic stop on West Fifth Street.

— A female who was reported to be sitting in her car for some time on Harding Avenue on Feb. 12 told the officer she was there because her son was dropping off a Valentines Day gift and everything was fine.

— Officers found everything to be secure at a Crawford Avenue residence after investigating a motion alarm at the residence on Feb. 12.

— Charles Davis Jr was issued a citation and court date for failure to stop at a stop sign during a Feb. 12 traffic stop on West Fifth Street.

— A female called the police department on Feb. 12 to report a theft from two properties she owns on St. George Street.

— Frank Allen Ciubbs Charles Davis Jr was issued a citation and court date for failure to stop at a stop sign during a Feb. 12 traffic stop on West Fifth Street.

— Officers do not suspect foul play of a male with medical issues found deceased on Feb. 13 at an Allison Avenue residence. East Liverpool Fire and EMS responded and contacted the doctor and coroner’s officer. The male was removed by Nixon Funeral Home.

— A female called the police department on Feb. 13 to report being harassed by her ex-boyfriend’s sister via text messaging. She told officers she blocked the number and officers advised since she blocked the number if she reaches out to her again by social media she could be charged with telecommunications harassment.

— Officers documented a reported theft of an Amazon package from a Market Street apartment on Feb. 13.

— An officer conducting random plate checks on West Fifth Street found a vehicle that was showing the registered owner was suspended. The officer conducted a traffic stop and found the driver to have a valid license and not be the registered owner of the vehicle.

— Officers told a juvenile walking a small dog on the roadway on St. Clair Avenue on Feb. 13 to walk on the sidewalk.

— An officer spoke with a male at a Michigan Avenue residence during a disturbance investigation on Feb. 13 and was told by the male he had a verbal argument with his nephew who had already left.

— Officers checking a Minerva Street residence on Feb. 13 for a report of possible trespassers found the residence to be boarded up.

— Cody Wilt was issued a verbal warning for an obstructed license plate and a citation with a court date for driving under FRA suspension during a Feb.13 traffic stop on West Ninth Street.

— A driver was given a verbal warning for a defective exhaust during a Feb. 13 traffic stop on West Eighth Street.

— A male who came to the police station on Feb. 13 to file a breaking and entering complaint told officers he rents a room from his brother and he has to lock his bedroom door and that was breaking and entering. Officers told him it wasn’t because his brother owns the home.

— Warrants were issued for Harleigh Crawford and Shannelle Romano for shoplifting from Nikki’s Place on Feb. 13 after an officer watched CCTV which captured the thefts.

— Officers searched the area of Dakota Street on Feb. 13 for a male who was reported to be acting strange and trying to get into Dave and Deb’s Bar.

Sheriff’s Office

— A woman on Main Street, Leetonia reported at 3:07 p.m. Tuesday that a suspicious person was getting buckets of water from the Little Beaver Creek in the 800 block of Lisbon Road, Salem Township. A deputy checked the area, but didn’t find anyone.

— Deputies were dispatched at 4:59 p.m. Saturday to Allendale Avenue, New Waterford, for an unknown person that took a bunch of pills. Columbiana EMS transported the person to a hospital in Mahoning County.

— A woman on Sunset Drive, Yellow Creek Township, reported at 3:56 p.m. Saturday that she is hearing information that unknown people are going to come to her property and damage anything they can.

— A deputy was dispatched at 12:59 p.m. Saturday to Steubenville Pike Road, Washington Township, for a vehicle fire involving a motorhome bus. Highlandtown Fire Department was on scene.

— A deputy returned a call received at 2:23 p.m. Monday regarding menacing at a property on state Route 45, Center Township. The deputy spoke with the person and advised them how to proceed.

— A deputy attempted to return a call received at 2:14 p.m. Monday regarding menacing on Brookfield Street, Center Township, leaving three voicemails for the caller, who did not call the deputy back.

–A Center Road, Knox Township resident reported at 10:28 p.m. Wednesday that his neighbor was shooting his firearm at all hours of the night. He requested a report on file per his attorney.

— A welfare check was requested at 9:21 p.m. Wednesday on Campbell Road, Hanover Township on two juveniles who were being yelled at by their grandfather, who was allegedly intoxicated. A deputy observed the juveniles, who were fine. Their mother and grandparents were also present. The report said the grandfather was yelling at one of the juveniles due to getting in trouble at school.

— A Columbiana man was served with a protection order out of Columbiana County Common Pleas Court at 9:03 p.m. Tuesday in Knox Township.

— A Salem Township woman was served with a protection order out of Arizona at 8:27 p.m. Tuesday in Salem Township.

— A person on Macklin Road, Unity Township reported at 2:25 p.m. Tuesday they were having mental health issues, saying it has been going on for years and they believed someone intentionally caused them to have mental health issues.

— A man from Speidel Road, Hanover Township spoke with a deputy on station at 6:31 a.m. Tuesday regarding an issue with a person he allowed to live at his residence. He wanted information on what to do to evict the person. Information was provided for eviction along with how to file for a protection order.

— A burglary report was taken at 9:45 p.m. Saturday from a residence on Forbes Road, Madison Township. Multiple items were reported taken from inside the residence.

— A deputy was dispatched at 4:35 a.m. Saturday to a single-vehicle crash on Hazel Run Road at Haiti Road, Salineville. The vehicle was a motorcycle and the rider was not on scene. The Ohio State Highway Patrol arrived and completed the investigation, with the deputy standing by for assistance.
