LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary hearing was set March 30 for Austin Michael Bowers, 30, North Market Street, East Palestine, charged with pandering obscenity involving a minor, a second-degree felony, for allegedly transmitting videos featuring children engaging in sexual activity from his account onto other platforms.
According to an affidavit, investigators executed a search warrant at his East Palestine home on March 18 and confirmed the videos came from his account. On Aug. 21, 2025 he was allegedly flagged by Dropbox for allegedly uploading a video depicting a child being sexually assaulted by an adult male to their platform. Another company also flagged a video allegedly transmitted by the defendant through their platform which also depicted a juvenile girl under the age of 18 engaging in sex acts with a man.
A preliminary hearing was set March 30 for Javon Dashawn Wesley, 30, Youngstown, charged with second-degree felonies of strangulation and felonious assault and fourth-degree felony disrupting public service. A bond was set of $100,000 cash or surety and he was ordered to stay away from the victim and told he was prohibited from possessing weapons of any kind.
According to an affidavit, on state Route 170 in Middleton Township, a woman alleged the defendant woke her up by choking her and punching her in the face, then forced her to drive him back home to Youngstown and would not let her call 911 by taking her cell phone away from her. After she dropped him off, she drove herself to East Liverpool City Hospital to be treated for injuries which included missing teeth, cuts on her lip and a swollen ear.
Arraignment was set March 23 for Helen Isabelle Reynolds, 57, Annesley Road, East Liverpool, charged with assault for allegedly striking a man in the head, arms and shoulder on March 19 in St. Clair Township.
A pretrial was set June 2 for Samantha Lynn Jenkins, 40, Lisbon Road, Leetonia, charged with assault for allegedly kicking a man in the head multiple times when he was on the ground at a Lisbon Road property in Salem Township on March 18.
A pretrial was set May 11 for Joshua D. Veglia, 45, Bank Street, East Liverpool, charged with violating a protection order and violating a temporary protection order for allegedly driving by and yelling at a protected person while she was at a daycare center in St. Clair Township on Feb. 26 and then on March 6, police learned he was allegedly contacting the woman’s co-workers and her co-workers’ spouses to speak about the woman is a protected person in a protection order against him. On March 10, he allegedly tried to contact the protected person through the social media platform Snapchat.
A pretrial was set May 27 for Phaline E. McMillen, 18, Hartley Road, Alliance, charged with contributing to the unruliness or delinquency of a child and criminal endangerment for allegedly driving her car with multiple juveniles in it to Buck Road to cause damage to multiple vehicles on March 7. Multiple vehicles sustained extensive damage.
A pretrial was set March 25 for John E. McCallister, 55, East Sixth Street, Salem, charged with theft for allegedly stealing a book bag at the pavilion near the playground at Centennial Park in Salem on Jan. 7.
A pretrial was set May 18 for Stephanie J. Igo. 37, Jimtown Road, East Palestine, charged with theft for allegedly stealing two weld packs and multiple battery-powered tools from inside a detached garage at a a property in Middleton Township between Oct. 15, 2025 and Jan. 23, 2026.
A pretrial was set March 30 for Ricardo Gonzalez Jr., 36, Canton, charged with drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a glass pipe with burnt residue and a Crown Royal bag with suspended narcotics while a passenger during a traffic stop on March 19 in Elkrun Township.
A pretrial was set June 2 for Kylie Elizabeth Kreefer, 29, Kingsridge Road, East Liverpool, charged with drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing drug paraphernalia in St. Clair Township earlier this month.
A pretrial was set June 2 for Justin Hunter Steele, 23, Midland, Pa., charged with driving under suspension and failure to display valid sticker.
A pretrial was set May 26 for Ryan D. Pritt, 24, Wilbert Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with driving under suspension.
A pretrial was set June 3 for Michael Andrew Manos, 26, Ambridge, Pa., charged with speeding.
A pretrial was set May 12 for Travis James Crow, 48, West Garfield Road, Columbiana, charged with driving while texting.

Grand Jury
LISBON — An Alliance man accused of trespassing in a property to physically harm another man was served Thursday with a secret indictment issued by the Columbiana County Grand Jury.
Juan G. Anchondo, 38, Oyster Road, was charged with aggravated burglary, a first-degree felony, and felonious assault, a second-degree felony, for allegedly trespassing and physically harming the other man on Jan. 11, 2026.
