POLICE
Liverpool Township
— Kayla Roberts, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for speed of 73 mph in a 55-mph zone during a March 9 traffic stop on state Route 7.
— Michelle Walker, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for assured clear distance and mandatory court date after she hit another car causing a three-car accident on March 14 on state Route 7.
— Ashley Martin, age and address not provided, was issued a citation and court date for expired plates during a March 15 traffic stop on Parkway Avenue.
— Autumn Growe, age and address not provided, was issued citations and a court for having little/no plate light and expired plates during a March 16 traffic stop on state Route 7.
Wellsville
— Officers responded on March 6 to a report that a child had been bitten by a dog near Pepe Mini Mart and was taken to the East Liverpool hospital. Officers were able to locate the house of the dog’s owner on Clark Street. They spoke with a female who said the dog which belongs to her boyfriend was the dog that bit the child. The owner of the dog said the dog was outside in an enclosed fence and must have gotten out of the fence. Officers contacted the dog pound, and a dog warden came to the residence to speak with the owner.
— Bryan Adams, age and address not provided, was charged with assault and theft on March 8 after his ex-girlfriend who had blood on mouth/face while speaking with officers, told officers he punched her in the face while she was trying to get her phone back from him. The female told the officers her stolen phone had a large amount of money on her Cashapp account, and she was worried he would transfer that money.
St. Clair Township
— John Weaver, 51, address not provided, was charged with attempt to commit offense, after he attempted to steal two items totaling $59.94 from Walmart on March 4.
— Officer located a vehicle reported to be stolen in the parking lot of Walmart on March 4. While officers were taking inventory of the vehicle for the owner, they located a baggie containing brown powder in the vehicle. An officer located David Talbott, 35, address not provided, who was accused of taking the car without permission while he was walking out of Walmart and detained him. While detained, officers observed a a hypodermic needle hanging out of Talbott’s pocket with a tie off baggie. After removing the needle from him, officers found another needle and a baggie with white powder. A further search of Talbott by officers found a box of stolen security cameras priced at $99 concealed inside his pants. Talbott became combative with an officer kicking in the back of the patrol vehicle and was transported directly to the Columbiana County Jail where he was charged with receiving stolen property (the car), theft and possessing drug abuse instruments.
— After conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle on St. Clair Avenue on March 5 due to the random plate check revealing the registered owner did not have a valid driver’s license, the driver was found to not be the registered owner and did have a valid license and was release.
— Brittany Connor, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for driving under suspension and was instructed to park her car and wait for a ride during a March 5 traffic stop at Sheetz.
— Luke Maola, 40, address not provided, was charged with attempt to commit an offense after being observed attempting to steal two items totaling $114.95 from Walmart on March 5.
— A driver was issued a verbal warning for no lights on during a March 5 traffic stop on state Route 170.
— An officer filed a report for a driver who struck a deer on March 5 on Irish Ridge Road.
— Officers searched a portion of state Route 170 on March 5 for a driver who was reported to be driving recklessly.
— A male who called to report his wallet may have been lost at the Marathon Gas Station in Wellsville on March 5, said a purchase not made by him was made for $27.53 at the Smith Gas Station on East Liverpool Road on his Discover card on March 5. The male said he spoke with the corporate office for Smith’s and was told there were no cameras at that gas station. The male was advised to cancel all his credit cards.
Sheriff’s Office
— A woman on Boston Street, Salem Township, reported at 7:21 p.m. Wednesday that her 13-year-old daughter was refusing to go back with her father. She was advised to contact an attorney.
— A man on state Route 170, Middleton Township reported at 6:26 p.m. Wednesday that his neighbor is always yelling and screaming from his property at himself for no reason. He said he provides the neighbor with coffee and food all the time and if he continues with this behavior, he’s not going to provide him with the items.
— A person on Meadow Wood Drive, Butler Township called at 4:05 p.m. Wednesday to request an ambulance transport them to a hospital due to suicidal threats they were having. The person was transported to a hospital in Stark County by Damascus EMS.
— A residential alarm was reported at 1:14 a.m. Wednesday on Buck Road, Knox Township where the owner was home at the time. Deputies checked the perimeter and then the interior of the residence. All was found secure and there did not appear to be anything suspicious located.
— A deputy was dispatched at 11:07 p.m. Tuesday to Homeworth Road, Knox Township, for a 911 open line. The homeowner said everything was fine.
