Sheriff’s Office
— An alarm was reported at 6:28 p.m. Thursday on Rochester Road, West Township. A deputy responded and checked all the doors and windows at ground level, finding them all secure.
— A man on Bayard Road, West Township, reported at 4:48 p.m. Thursday that the dumpster on his property was moved and he believed the neighbor moved it, but he did not see him move it.
— A woman from Leesburg called at 4:43 p.m. Thursday to request a welfare check on her boyfriend’s 5-year-old son, who lives with his mother on Pine Hollow Road, Middleton Township. She requested the check due to being unable to make contact with him for over 30 days. A deputy responded and observed the boy to be fine.
— A deputy responded at 6:59 p.m. Jan. 8 to a property on state Route 45, Elkrun Township, regarding a 911 text. The deputy spoke with the person and her grandmother and was advised the situaton was handled and everything was OK.
— A theft was reported at 5:15 p.m. Jan. 8 on Sherwood Road, Yellow Creek Township. The deputy who spoke to the person called for EMS due to the person having trouble breathing. The person was taken to a hospital.
— A deputy at 8:34 p.m. Jan. 5 checked the area of state Route 7 and East Liverpool Road in Madison Township regarding a welfare check, with the deputy advised a young woman wearing a grey sweatshirt was asking for help. The deputy checked the immediate and surrounding areas, but did not find the woman.
— A request of one to be removed was made at 4:05 p.m. Jan. 5 on Myers Road, West Township. When a deputy arrived, the person in question had already left.
— A report of menacing was taken at 1:52 p.m. Jan. 5 for a state Route 154 address in Middleton Township. The caller had a protection order against the people, but it had not been served yet. Deputies went and served the protection order paperwork.
–A theft report was taken at 3:22 p.m. Dec. 31 at Storage Rental of America, Strader Road, Madison Township.
East Liverpool
— Officers spoke to a property owner who was also the vehicle owner after receiving a call of a vehicle crashing into an Oak Street yard on Jan. 2. The owner told officers that she went to pull into the parking lot when the truck slid over the embankment into her yard.
— After being notified on Jan. 2 by a female that her brother and another individual were coming to her Avondale Street residence to get a pipe bomb that was left in her basement, officers and the fire department arrived at the residence and evacuated the building occupants while they searched the basement, where they found no pipe bombs or any other types of IEDs. The residence was deemed safe, and residents were allowed to return.
— Officers investigating an alarm at a location on Broadway Street found a side door unlocked and contacted a keyholder who came and secured the door on Jan. 2
— Officers searched the area of Moore Street on Jan. 2 after receiving a complaint about a dirt bike being operated on the roadway.
— Officers advised a male who called on Jan. 2 to say he and his wife were going through a divorce and his wife was trying to take their child from the Thompson Avenue residence, that with them still being legally married and no child custody order in place, that this would be a civil matter. The officer checked on the well-being of the child at the residence and found the child to be fine and the residence clean. The wife was told by officers to leave the residence as she no longer lived there.
— Officers filed a burglary report for the property owner of a house on Monaca Street which has been sitting empty due to a flood. The owner told police she went to the house on Jan. 2 to get some items when she noticed things missing such as three TVs and an air compressor paint system, an electric heater, a large stereo with three speakers and two totes of Blu-ray CDs.
— An officer searched on area of state Route 39 on Jan. 2 for a car reported to be driving on the wrong side of the highway.
— Lorrie Cook, age and address not provided, was issued a verbal warning for a stop sign violation following a Jan. 2 traffic stop on Thompson Avenue. The passenger, David Sparks, 32, address not provided, was found to have an active warrant and taken into custody.
— Officers arrived at a St. Clair Avenue location along with the fire department medical personnel who treated a choking female on Jan. 2.
— Officers searched the area of Northside Street on Jan. 2 for a female and a little girl who a caller said he gave a ride to so they weren’t in the cold. He told officers the female said the little girl, who looked like a child with a deformed face, was her girlfriend.

— Kyle Phillips, of Weirton, possession with intent.
— Brittany Stevens, of Toronto, grand larceny.
— Thomas O. and Thomas McGowan, of New Cumberland, domestic battery
— Michael Selester, of Chester, animal neglect and seven counts of cruelty to animals.
— Troy Mieckowski, of Weirton, possession of meth and two counts of failure to appear.
— Amy Crummitt, of Newell, domestic battery.
— Kaleb Dailey, of New Cumberland, DUI and DWLS DUI.
— Robert Snyder, of Weirton, brandishing.
— Hood Abuzaid, of Weirton, possession of controlled substance, possession of stolen property and prohibited person.
