LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a case for Douglas Charles Toothman, 47, East Fourth Street, East Liverpool, was bound over to the county grand jury for domestic violence, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly hitting a woman in her face and head area several times in East Liverpool on Oct. 18. The affidavit said the victim was pregnant.
A pretrial was set Nov. 17 for Joseph Daniel Mason, 41, Vine Street, East Liverpool, charged with assault and criminal damaging. He was fined $150 for intoxication. Mason was accused of choking a woman and breaking a brass lamp and her cell phone on Oct 23 in East Liverpool.
A domestic violence charge against Christopher Paul Logston, 34, West Fourth Street, East Liverpool, was dismissed with prejudice, with a notation that the victim’s whereabouts were unknown to the state. He was accused of threatening to bust out a woman’s car windshield and threw a beverage and a rock, almost hitting her on Feb. 27 in East Liverpool.
Juan Marcos Hernandez, 43, Steubenville, was fined $200 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 29 days suspended and credit for one day served, for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and to stay away from the victim. He kicked a woman and slapped her phone on April 20 in Liverpool Township.
A pretrial was set Nov. 13 for Cara Jean Crabtree, 41, Steubenville, charged with possessing criminal tools and soliciting for allegedly posting an ad on a known prostitution website and soliciting to perform sexual activity for an undercover agent posing as a purchaser of sex for $400, then traveling to Salem on Aug. 14, 2024 for the meeting with the phone used to make the arrangements in her possession.
Jeffrey Burkey, 54, Bessemer, Pa., was fined $1,050 for two counts of possessing criminal tools, with one amended from engaging in prostitution. He was accused of responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a female in exchange for $80, arriving in East Palestine on June 27 for the meeting with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession.
Justin C. Colbert, 40, Pittsburgh, Pa., was fined $750 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and a 12-hour education course. He was accused of responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with women in exchange for money, then traveling to East Palestine on Dec. 21, 2024 with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession.
Frank Duane Aracich, 52, Steubenville, was fined $600 for obstructing official business and drug paraphernalia for attempting to stop police from searching near a van for a runaway juvenile on Aug. 2, 2024 in East Liverpool and possessed a burnt glass pipe and bag of crystallized substance.
Diane L. Davis, 59, state Route 7, New Waterford, was fined $300 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for theft. She was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and to stay out of the Salem Walmart. Davis skip scanned items at the self-checkout at the Salem Walmart without paying for $151 worth of items on June 26.
A pretrial was set Jan. 27 for Michael Scott Posey, 41, Bellaire, charged with disorderly conduct for a 2024 incident in St. Clair Township.
A pretrial was set Jan. 27 for John Paul Monnot, 60, Louisville, charged with operating a vehicle impaired first offense.
Larry White, 69, Church Street, New Waterford, was fined $2,075 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 156 days suspended, leaving a balance of six days to serve in jail and 18 days to serve in electronically monitored house arrest for OVI second offense and driving under suspension. His driver’s license was suspended for three years and he was ordered to complete 40 hours community service. He was ordered to serve an additional 60 days in jail for violating the terms of his probation for another OVI case, consecutive to the other jail term.
Xavier Lord Kelley, 31, Salem Alliance Road, Salem, was fined $1,255 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 174 days suspended, leaving a balance of six days still to serve in jail for OVI, traffic control devices and no seat belt. His driver’s license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted, and he was ordered to complete 25 hours community service.
Mark Christopher Geon, 46, East Main Street, New Waterford, was fined $1,225 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, for OVI and reasonable control, with a charge of OVI refusal dismissed. Geon’s driver’s license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted, and he was ordered to complete 40 hours community service.
Brittany Nicole Poling, 28, Whinnery Road, Salem, was fined $1,125 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, with $500 of the fine suspended, for OVI and speeding. Another OVI charge was dismissed. Her driver’s license was suspended for one year and she was ordered to complete 40 hours community service.
Theodore E. Milhalko, 62, Ellwood City, Pa., was fined $675 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, for OVI, improper turn and marked lanes. His driver’s license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted, and he was ordered to complete 40 hours community service.
Alexa Garr, 32, Youngstown, was fined $100 for wrongful entrustment.
James T. Sturgell, 20, East Fourth Street, Salem, was fined $200 for underage consumption.
A pretrial was set Jan. 28 for Seth A. Little, 25, Newgarden Avenue, Salem, charged with noncompliance/driving under suspension.
Adam B. Valentin Olzak, 28, McCormick Run Road, Salineville, was fined $350 for speeding and two counts of no license, both amended from driving under suspension.
Shannon Marks, 55, state Route 154, Lisbon, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.
Nicolas Robert Ottaviani, 24, Park Drive, East Palestine, was ordered to pay court costs only for expired plates.
Sonny J. Faulk, 28, East Lincoln Way, Lisbon, was fined $50 for driving under suspension.
Derrick E. Howard, 19, Midland, Pa., was fined $75 for speeding and no license.
