Sheriff Reports

— Deputies responded to state Route 45 in Wellsville for a domestic dispute at 1:46 a.m. Tuesday. Upon arrival, deputies spoke to a woman who advised that Ronald Knight, 51, state Route 45, Wellsville, struck her in the face several times and spit on her. The victim had injuries consistent with her statement. Knight was arrested and charged with domestic violence.

— Loud music was reported at 10:26 p.m. Friday on Grant Street, Center Township. A deputy who arrived did not hear any loud music and told the homeowner about the complaint.

— Deputies arrived at 12:49 a.m. Friday to an address on state Route 154, Elkrun Township for a welfare check called in by Minerva police who had a woman who made a comment that she was unsure if her spouse was alive. Deputies made contact with the spouse, who said he was fine; however, his wife fled in the middle of the night prior and took his phone and vehicle. He advised she was suffering from a mental health problem and was in need of medical assistance. Deputies passed the information to Minerva police who had the woman taken to a local hospital for assistance.

— A deputy was dispatched to North Street, Knox Township, at 11:38 p.m. Thursday for a domestic violence report. A refusal was signed.

— A medical call was reported at 9:48 p.m. Thursday on Teegarden Road, Salem Township, where a person fell and was bleeding from the head and unresponsive but breathing. Upon arrival with Winona EMS, the person was transported to Teegarden Road at Depot Road, Salem Township to meet Stat Medevac. A deputy assisted with traffic control and the person was flown to a hospital in Mahoning County.

— Personnel from FCI Elkton, the federal prison on Scroggs Road, Elkrun Township, reported persons trespassing on the property at 6:48 p.m. Thursday. Deputies checked the area, but did not find anyone.

— A caller at 7:36 a.m. Thursday reported a woman entered their open garage and spent the night, saying the woman did not take anything and they only wanted her welfare checked. The area was checked and she could not be located.

— Deputies responded at 12:48 a.m. Thursday to Sprucevale Road and state Route 7, Middleton Township, for a suspicious person yelling and screaming at the intersection. Deputies were unable to locate the person, but spoke with the caller, who said the person left in a vehicle driven by the neighbor. The neighbor and the person had been involved in an argument, but everything calmed down before they left and deputies arrived. Deputies continued to search the area, but did not find the people or the vehicle.

— A deputy was dispatched at 8:25 p.m. Aug. 20 to Sell Road, Center Township for an assault that took place in the 2200 block of Woodsdale Road, Butler Township. A refusal was signed.

— Deputies responded at 12:23 a.m. Aug. 15 to East Liverpool Road, Madison Township where a caller made multiple accusations about a nearby residence. Deputies determined the accusations to be false and the caller to be having multiple mental health issues and delusions. Deputies left without incident.

— Deputies responded at 2:03 a.m. Aug. 12 to a reported assault with a woman supposedly being held against her will by a man in a vehicle. Deputies checked the area and found the woman who was reportedly the victim. She told them she was not assaulted and was not held against her will at anytime.
