Fire Calls

— Firefighters responded to the 300 block of East State Street at 9:02 a.m. Sunday for a reported shed fire. When personnel arrived flames were visible at the rear of the property, and which was found to be a large pile of construction debris on fire next to the shed. The resident was on scene and advised he was burning a deck that he had removed from around his swimming pool. The resident was advised of the open burning laws, and he began to extinguish the fire with a garden hose. The remaining fire was extinguished with tank water from engine three.
